When our client first bought this property she worried she had made a huge mistake. She simply couldn’t see beyond what was already there.

Seeing the potential in a space isn’t always easy. It’s about looking beyond what’s in front of you imagining the possibilities and transforming it into something special.

Sometimes all it takes is a little GeorgieRose vision…swipe to see how this very same view began

Small rooms can make the biggest impression…

A downstairs cloakroom is the perfect place to be a little braver with pattern. Here the detailed wallpaper brings character and interest, while the soft neutral panelling painted in Elephants Breath Farrow & Ball grounds the scheme and gives it a timeless feel.

Do you know which colour most clients are scared of using?

The answer is… green.

As soon as I mention it I’m often met with “I don’t like green.” But it doesn’t have to mean what you’re imagining.

Green can be big and bold like a statement sofa, soft and muted as a wall colour, introduced through a footstool, a piece of art or simply some beautiful greenery.

There really is a shade and a way of using it for everyone. Can I persuade you?

A room where beautiful period character meets relaxed contemporary living.

The original fireplace, intricate cornicing and elegant proportions provide the perfect backdrop, while layers of soft neutrals create a calm and timeless feel. Rich rust velvet, warm wood tones and carefully chosen lighting bring depth and warmth, preventing the room from ever feeling too formal.

The result is an elegant yet inviting space that celebrates the history of the house while still feeling comfortable enough for everyday family life.

Wallpaper is such a beautiful way to set the mood for a room which is why we love incorporating it into our designs.

Here the soft cloud design creates a calm and dreamy backdrop while the velvet headboard, layered bedding and delicate blue accents add warmth and depth the perfect place to retreat to at the end of a busy day.

Would you use wallpaper to bring softness and character to a bedroom?

Going dark in a small room can feel like a bold choice but cloakrooms are the perfect place to be a little braver.

Here the deep olive green wraps around the panelling and continues across the ceiling creating a rich cocooning feel. Paired with softly patterned wallpaper, warm brass details, beautiful lighting and a tactile stone basin the result feels dramatic yet timeless.

The period features were always going to be the heart of this room.

The beautiful proportions, tall sash windows, original fireplace and decorative cornicing gave us such a lovely foundation to work with. We wanted the new joinery to feel as though it had always belonged here, while adding a more contemporary layer to the space.

We designed the bespoke alcove units with a combination of warm walnut and a soft painted finish, creating contrast and character without competing with the original details.

A careful balance of old and new and a room that feels completely at home within this beautiful period property.
