Let’s talk stripes….are you a fan?

We are. From headboards and cushions to armchairs, roman blinds and even a bespoke mirror, stripes are one of the most versatile patterns to introduce into a home.

They can feel classic or contemporary, bold or understated, depending on the scale, colour and how they’re layered within a scheme. We often use them to add softness, rhythm and subtle interest without overwhelming a space.

Whilst I didn’t take home the award last night in the Property & Interiors category at the SoGlos Lifestyle and Business awards I honestly still feel incredibly proud to have been named as one of the final 6 finalists.

As a small independent business, being recognised alongside so many established and talented businesses across Gloucestershire truly meant a lot.

There’s something incredibly special about working on a beautiful period property and slowly bringing it back to life.

Huge fireplaces, sweeping staircases, soaring ceilings, original service bells and so many beautiful historic details hidden within the home.

Projects like this are never about removing the past, but restoring its character whilst thoughtfully reimagining it for modern living.

Watching this home return to its former glory has been such a rewarding journey.

From the palette to the textures, lighting and layering, each decision plays a part in creating a home that feels cohesive, calm and entirely personal to those living within it.

Same window completely reimagined….

What was once a heavy and formal corner has been transformed into a calm seating space that allows both the architecture and the sweeping Malvern Hills views to take centre stage.

By simplifying the window treatments, softening the palette and introducing relaxed sculptural seating, the entire room now feels lighter, quieter and far more connected to the landscape beyond.

Proof that sometimes the most impactful transformations come from knowing what to take away.
