If there was ever a sofa designed for a slow Saturday morning with a coffee, or a glass of wine on a Friday night, it’s this one.

We recently completed this stunning bespoke, Art Deco-inspired piece for the team at Newman & Bright, and it was an absolute pleasure bringing their design concept to life in the workshop.

It's a true masterclass in statement furniture. Watch the clip to see that unique, scalloped silhouette and those perfectly rounded arms upholstered in a beautiful, soft rose velvet.

Notice how the plush upholstery flawlessly hugs that curved, rigid timber trim? Getting the fabric to sit absolutely perfectly against the wooden profile requires extreme precision—but the contrast it creates is worth every second at the workbench.

Whether it's viewed from the side profile or a full-length pan, this sofa completely steals the room.

If you're going to put the effort into cooking a proper, homemade meal, you need a space that makes it feel like an occasion. 🍽️✨

These dining chairs were upholstered to bring that high-end dining look right into the home—giving the space the sleek aesthetic of a luxury restaurant while keeping the comfort you want for everyday living.

When you're upholstering a full set like this, there's absolutely nowhere to hide. Every single horizontal fluted line across all six backs has to sit at the exact same height, or your eye catches it instantly when they're lined up at a table.

We upholstered these using a neutral AquaClean fabric from Ross Fabrics, which means it looks incredibly sleek but is completely life-proof against any accidental spills.

Check out how that close-up detail looks. Keeping the curved edges smooth and the top stitching perfectly crisp around the seats is what makes or breaks a clean design like this—plus, that extra stitching actually reinforces the seams, giving the fabric the structural integrity it needs to stay looking sharp for years.

Accidents happen, but they don't have to be permanent. ⏳❌

A cigarette burn completely disrupts a premium interior, especially on a sharp Mercedes-Benz seat with detailed red stitching. While it looks like a permanent eye-sore, you don't actually need to replace the entire seat.

Here is how a master upholstery repair actually works:

1️⃣ Deconstruction: We take the seat completely off the rails and strip away the outer cover. To do a seamless repair, you have to work from the inside out.

2️⃣ Fabric Matching: Rather than just patching over the burn, we unpick the damaged section at the seams. For this specific project, we sourced the exact fabric used by Mercedes-Benz, using the old piece as a template to ensure seamless alignment.

3️⃣ Precision Machining: Using the original stitch lines as our guide, we machine-sew the new panel back into the thigh support so it looks exactly how it did when it left the factory.

4️⃣ Re-upholstery: Finally, we pull the repaired cover back over the seat's foam core, smoothing it out and screwing it down to ensure a tight, wrinkle-free fit.

5️⃣ Re-assembly: With the cover back on, we reassemble the seat trim, reconnect any internal wiring components, and bolt the entire unit securely back onto the car's rails. 🛠️✨

When your love for automotive design takes over the living room. 🏎️➡️🛋️

If you caught our post on Thursday about the custom Recaro seats, you’ll know we love a high-spec automotive build. But the project didn’t actually stop in the vehicle.

Our client wanted to carry that exact same premium, high-performance aesthetic into their home—so they commissioned us to reupholster their sofas to perfectly match the new car interior.

We stripped these sofas right back to their bare frames, completely replaced the worn webbing and foam, and finished them in the same high-spec material and precision stitching as the Recaros.

Most modern furniture isn’t built to last, but when you have a classic frame with great bones, reinventing it to match your personal passion gives you the ultimate design freedom.

A legendary set of seats deserves an equally legendary home... 🤫🏁

We’ve just wrapped up a complete, top-tier interior transformation. For this project, we actually sourced a secondhand set of iconic Recaro bucket seats specifically for the client, completely restored and rebuilt them in our workshop, and then fully re-trimmed them alongside a matching rear bench, door cards, and custom gaiters. The finish? A stunning combination of tan leather and classic tartan.

From the custom template drafting to ensure the perfect leather tension, right down to the razor-sharp embroidery, every single millimetre was crafted in-house.

A quick note on the details: While we integrated our own Fidus branding into the flat leather panels prior to assembly for this specific build, you have total design freedom when you commission a custom interior with us. Whether you want an original manufacturer replication, a completely bespoke emblem, or no logo at all—if we are upholstering it from scratch, we can seamlessly stitch it into the design.
