We’re firm believers that the difference is always in the details, and cushions are easily the best place to bring in a bit of character. Pairing up bespoke funky fabrics with custom trims and fringes brings so much charm and colour into a room, making every choice feel like a real extension of your own style.

Knight’s Tale in Sage / Blue takes centre stage on this Roman blind. Designed by Kit Kemp for GP & J Baker, this fabric is based on a 1920s archival print inspired by 16th century slip work. It lends the sweetest finish above the bath through its whimsical countryside motif and soft tones. 🍃

How we built character into our clients home…

By opening the hearth between both rooms, we created a striking architectural focal point that anchors the space and floods both rooms with natural warmth and texture. 💐

Drawing on the earthy tones of Cheshire landscape, we introduced rich toned panelling paired with nature inspired wallpaper and warm brass fittings to give this compact area an authentic heritage feel. 🦆

Shaping standard edges into a classic profile introduces a subtle layer of craftsmanship and bespoke elegance to the kitchen. 🥕

The directional lines of the herringbone layout break up flat wall surfaces while the natural veining introduces rich, organic movement and architectural depth. 🤍

Drawing the eye upward with painted timber panelling adds structural texture and frames the bedroom, turning a plain slope into a standout feature. 💡

POV: You open our camera roll… 📸

While most people have pictures of pets or holiday sunsets, our camera roll is made up of 400 photos of green shower tiles and cushion fringes taken at slightly different angles. Design never turns off for us & we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

Reflecting back on this calm corner of our clients guest bedroom. We love the burst of orangey red against the soft blue wall colour and we carried this warm oak finish throughout the property including the doors and bespoke staircase stairs ✨

This project was installed during the very wet winter we’ve just experienced, which meant unpacking at the door and desperately avoiding the mud and rain to keep our clients home pristine. I am sure our fellow interior designers will agree that installing in this dry beautiful sunshine makes it all the more enjoyable! ☀️

Working from home should always feel this inspiring! 💚Pairing the subtle striped wallpaper with the dark green joinery set the dreamiest backdrop, but the real magic was in the styling. We worked closely with our client to style the shelves using their own books and personal treasures, giving the room an instant sense of homely warmth and turning a functional space into somewhere so inviting. 🏡

Sunday spotlight: Statement footstools 🧶💙

In a room with mixed textures such as exposed brick, timber & soft drapery, a bespoke footstool serves as the ultimate unifying element. The Westerly Stripes fabric by Mulberry Home brings an understated sophistication to the space, using classic stripe patterns in varying weights to connect the palette seamlessly. It balances the cool blue drapery with the warmer tones of the hearth. Functionally, it acts as a central coffee table alternative, providing a flat surface to style with trays and books to build up layered height and visual interest. ❤️💙

Combining a generous upholstered footprint with a custom glass inset allows a large bespoke footstool to completely elevate a seating layout. Upholstered in Malabar Green by Colefax & Fowler, the iconic animal spot velvet introduces subtle texture while effortlessly pulling the green accents from the cushions, lamps, and rug into one central focal point. The glass center creates a dedicated styling surface for florals and art books, adding essential character to the middle of the room. 💚🤍

Zooming in on fine upholstery details shows how pattern alignment transforms a bespoke footstool into a true statement piece. Upholstered in Killi Pink by Penny Morrison, the fabric features a distinctive three colour vertical design with a repeated flower and tall stem motif. It brings an instant punch of personality and boldness to a scheme without overwhelming the rest of the furnishings. The deep piped edging and turned wooden legs ground the playful print, proving that a statement footstool can feel both traditional and full of modern character. 🩷🤍

Our favorite little nook in the dressing room is all about natural light and peaceful views ✨

Positioned right beside the window, this sweet corner pairs warm wooden furniture with subtle blue accents in the chair fabric, lampshade, and blind trim. It brings such a soft, quiet charm to the space, making it the dreamiest spot to get ready for the day 🤍
