Another inset stove solution with this offset wall, the customer didn't want the disruption of a full knock out and lose the space of this narrow living room. Very common layout in a 1960s Bungalow with 'wrap around' living/dining rooms partly open plan. No matter how awkward the space we provide practical and stylish solutions with minimal disruption. This customer had an open fire that had a broken fire back. To improve efficiency and bring the fire back into use they opted for an inset stove. Nothing else was changed with the vintage tiled surround and hearth. Improving efficiency doesn’t always mean high cost. We were able to bring this small project in at the modest cost and minimum disruption to the customer.

This sweep of a Clearview 500 had not been swept in a long time. The customer was advised about the T piece which was clogged with soot and clinker and posed both a fire and carbon monoxide risk. There was no carbon monoxide alarm either! As we are both registered sweeps and fitters we were able to advise the customer on remedial action. Don’t leave your sweep until Autumn book ahead.
