When do you frog a project?

This is dice roll number 4

It has been on the needles since 21st March 2024. I have not picked it up in a very long time.
I was buying the yarn as I needed it rather than all in one go (bad idea if you want to match dye lot numbers) and only have the rest of this ball. I would need to buy another 7 for my size.

My plan was to make it for a shop sample.

I think that if I had all the yarn, I would finish it (I know I can buy more), but I don't. I'm thinking I'll frog it and add it to my scrappy Kaleidoscope blanket.

I have made more progress than I thought I would. I have one end cast off. On the other side there is one MC stripe and 1.5 CC stripes to go.

My secret knitting has only grown by one stripe this week (5/24) because I've had friends visiting.

Each month, I am purchasing yarn from our Dyer of the Month, wrapping it up and putting it away for Christmas.

Advantages
* It spreads the cost of an advent calendar over 12 months
* I'm getting the EXACT colours I want
* I can support every small business that comes through the shop (and I know that happy dances happen!)
* No mini skein ends to weave in!
* I get more yarn
* I know EXACTLY what's going to happen with each skein (it's going in my advent calendar šŸ¤­)
