A little autumn from my camera roll on this beautiful, sunny Sunday in London🍂
These pumpkins always remind me of walks with my son, stopping to collect little twigs in our local park after school or on a wander through the woods. Somewhere along the way, I thought they would make lovely stalks for crochet pumpkins… and here we are, hundreds of pumpkins later🧡
So many have found their way into your homes over the years, and it all started with a few sticks and a little idea.

Thank you all so much for your kind messages and support over the last few days♥️ I’ve archived my last post for now, but I’m reading every comment and DM.
I also realised I haven’t shown this ottoman here for years, and it seems to be getting quite popular lately😉 So it’s only fair it gets its moment back on my feed: the Zuri House ottoman, the piece you’ve loved for almost 10 years, right from the very beginning🧶
I designed it in 2017, and that same year the very first ones went to their new homes. I’ve gathered a few of my favourite photos from those early days. Swipe to see where it all started ➡️
Every single one is still made by my hands, row by row. It takes hours, a lot of cotton cord and, yes, sometimes sore fingers😅 But seeing it in your homes makes every stitch worth it.

A little corner made for slowing down🤎
One of our knitted bean bags tucked into this lovely little boy’s room - a cosy spot for reading, playing, or apparently… looking at the world through wooden binoculars👀😁
Handmade from cotton cord, soft but sturdy, and easy to move around wherever a little extra seat is needed.
The bean bag pictured here is our 70 × 100 cm size in Mocha🤎 And I absolutely love how this colour works with all those greens and natural wood tones😍🙌🏻

A busy Sunday over here🤪🤎

We’ve spent the whole weekend working through your orders, and little by little everything is starting to come together. Some parcels are already on their way, more will be leaving tomorrow and throughout the week.

I really soaked this summer in. And I’m leaving this here mostly as a little memory for myself, because life isn’t all Zuri, knitting and orders after all☺️

There was so much packed into these few months - our anniversary trip to New York, both kids finishing their schools and starting new ones, Nina’s prom and GCSE results, seeing my family in Warsaw, travelling, new places, new people and just a lot of life in between. I think I’ll be processing this summer for quite a while.

But if I’m honest, one of the parts I keep coming back to is much simpler than all of that. A huge open field, a 15-minute walk from home, that I had passed so many times over the years without knowing what was just behind it. My dog, 5am light or quiet summer evenings, long grass, wildflowers, birds and rabbits. No plan, just walking and being there.

That was also the place where I met some amazing people, fellow dog lovers, and made new friends who became one of the very best parts of my summer.

Zuri was still very much moving in the background. But my own focus shifted away from Instagram for a while and more towards life outside of it. And I think I really needed that.

Probably one of the busiest, fullest and most emotional summers I’ve had in a long time, but also one that gave me some much-needed time for myself, and I feel very lucky to have had it☀️

Summer got so busy that I completely forgot to tell you about these🫠

Meet our new Lina crochet rugs - simple and understated, with just a little scalloped detail around the edges for that extra bit of charm.

Handmade to order in 5 sizes and 30+ colours, they’re lovely in children’s bedrooms and nurseries, beside a cot or little bed, or simply anywhere around the home that needs a little softness and texture.

Simple, soft and, of course, as everything in our shop, made by hand🌿

Almost four years ago, we brought Lalo home from a shelter🐾 Possibly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
He’s the most loved creature in our house, everyone’s favourite, my little shadow and quite honestly the best antidepressant I could ask for🤍 Some days he’s the one who gets me through the day. He keeps me company while I work, demands cuddles, interrupts constantly and occasionally helps take your parcels to the Post Office 📦 His actual contribution to Zuri House is questionable😅, but I wouldn’t change him for the world.
And today is also a little reminder - if you’re thinking about getting a dog, please consider adoption. There are so many wonderful dogs still waiting in shelters for their person🐾
Happy International Dog Day to all the dogs and all the humans who love them🤍

My kids were tiny when we started making these. They’re teenagers now!😳
That’s my son testing one of our very first bean bags, and my daughter putting hers to good use a couple of years later🎸
And all these years later, we’re still making them. Still one of our favourites and thoroughly tested on my own children over the years😁👌🏻

Too important not to share☺️
Nina has always been part of the Zuri House story. Some of you may remember the little girl who occasionally appeared in my earliest photos, growing up alongside this business from the very beginning.
And somehow, somewhere between family life, school runs, and building Zuri House stitch by stitch, the years simply disappeared. One day she was my little girl excited for her very first day at school, and the next she was a young woman getting ready for her prom night🥹
How does that happen so quickly?😬

Nina, I couldn’t be prouder of the kind, thoughtful, strong and beautiful young woman you have become. May you always have the courage to follow your own path, the confidence to believe in yourself, and the wisdom to know just how capable you are.
May life bring you wonderful adventures, true friendships, opportunities that excite you, and happiness that fills your heart. Never stop being curious, never stop dreaming, and never lose the warmth and kindness that make you who you are.
The world is waiting for you, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you.
