The recycling drop off we were using is no longer accepting them and unfortunately we are unable to afford to install a collection point at present. 😔

🥰 We’ve finally reached the end of the alphabet of our 53 makers ☺️ Here are all the makers from T to Z….

💙 Trish was invaluable when we started the shop, donating many pieces of furniture that we still use & giving us advice too. 🥰. She introduced us to her stunning photography that she takes and enhances. She specialises in taking pictures of local scenes, perfect for locals & tourists alike, selling them unframed & mounted in different sizes.

🩵 Victoria Smith has her own small business called Happy Daisy. She hand makes beautiful jewellery & accessories. Her bags & zip pouches are printed and hand-applied and come in so many beautiful designs from dogs to dragons 🐶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

💚 Vikki is both a maker & volunteer with us. She makes exsquisitly sewn items for the home & personal use in a variety of beautiful fabrics from toiletry bags to seatbelt cosies you’re sure to find something in her range that makes you smile every time you use it.

🧡 Wendy named her business ‘Wriggly Ralph’ after a much-loved family dog who kept her company while she crafted. She joined us at the beginning of our journey & prides herself in making use of discarded items to make jewellery, accessories & 3D pictures & cards. As well as prints & cards of her quirky artwork.

💜 Zita is married to another one of our exhibitors & they too have been with us since the beginning & have been great supporters of our little community enterprise 🥰. Within ‘Rice flowers’ she hand creates beautiful ‘forever flower’ displays using different vessels including lovely vintage pieces. Perfect for gifts or to brighten up your home 💐

💕What a lovely Saturday we had hosting a very special Birthday event for Fi at The Old Milk Bar💕 Taught by one of our exhibitors- 💕

💖Our cosy workroom can be hired for private events where you can learn a new skill and have a giggle with friends/family in a relaxed atmosphere.💖

👩‍🎨🧵🧶We can arrange tuition from one of our fab exhibitors or volunteers or you can just use the space to do your own crafty activities. 🧶🧵👩‍🎨

💕We are a Community Interest Company (not-for-profit) with very reasonable rates so if you make use of our workroom you will be helping:

💜 Local artists & crafters exhibit & sell their work at reasonable rates.
💙Have an accessible shop & meeting space for people with mobility difficulties.
🧡 Continue to have our eco hub for subsidised eco products & refills.
💛 Provide volunteer opportunities to the community for friendship, work experience & building confidence.
🩷Providing a ‘community corner’ advertising local news & events & offering Preloved art & craft books, magazines, patterns & kits.
🩵And, of course, having a workroom for hire for craft & well-being events & workshops.

💙 Sam & Martyn run their award-winning handmade skincare business on their farm in Powys. is an ethical & ecologically-minded business using natural ingredients & plastic free packaging, making the most exquisite bath & body products. Despite all the above credentials all of the products stocked with us are £10 or less. 🥰

💛 Sarah Hawkes is an artist who paints beautiful pieces mainly using the animals & scenery around her Ceriog Valley farm as inspiration. She has cards printed from her art & is now working on more original pieces to sell with us too 🥰

🩵 Sarah Holmes joined us at the beginning of the year & knits wonderful pieces under the name of ‘Woolen Wonderz’. She hand knits beautiful baby & toddler items perfect for gifting as well as scarves & blankets for adults.

💚 Sian Earl-Jones () is the daughter-in-law of one of our exhibitors who encouraged her to come in & show us her work. (We love a word of mouth recommendation )
We were blown away by the beautiful monochrome paper cuts & Welsh language designs, making a modern gift for any lover of this beautiful country.

🧡 Sian P lives in a remote part of North Wales & use the nature that surrounds her home to create unique, naturalistic designs for the home & garden. It takes many days to make each item & It’s hard to believe that everything is made from concrete! 😍

💜 Sophie Pepper () is a fairly new exhibitor with us & she is already struggling to keep up with demand 😍 She hand-throws, glazes & fires every piece, making every item a unique addition to any home.

🪷✨ We’re so delighted to announce that Reflections Wellness will be available at The Old Milk Bar every Wednesday for half hour and full hour walk-in sessions. Full hour sessions are also available by appointment on Fridays and Sundays, or via Zoom at a time to suit you 🪷✨

💕 Set in our cosy, private workspace Neera provides reiki, card readings and self renewal/ restoration techniques to help everybody to be at their best 💕

🚪 Pop in on a Wednesday for a walk in session (there’s plenty to browse in the shop if you have to wait for the next available session) Chirk also has many cafes and eateries & other shops too. Every business is small/independent making Chirk a very special place to be 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

🥰Continuing our alphabetical list of makers we now have P & R….

💙 Pauline is an artist who works with acrylic, watercolour & collage to create beautiful pieces, mainly focusing on animals, & sometimes with a quirky twist. She also produces greetings cards & prints from her work which make a wonderful way to send love to someone special.

💛 Penny was the first artist we signed up at The Old Milk Bar and we are proud to say she has been with us ever since. Her beautifully observed local scenes in both watercolour & acrylic make a fantastic souvenir for visitors or a wonderful addition to a home nearby. She also has excellent prints & cards made from her work so it suits every budget.

🩵 Rowena is a meticulous crocheter who works with natural yarns to produce wonderful, useful pieces from hand warmers & baskets to cotton body mitts & soap sacks. Even though she sells her wares at many craft fairs she still manages to have time to produce stylish & useful pieces to sell with us too 🧶🥰

💚 Rebel Dragon is a local business started by Chris & Rachel and they’ve been with us from the start, gradually expanding the range of items they sell with us. They specialise in creating Welsh language pieces, laser printing and cutting wood and acrylic with their original designs which make the most amazing pieces that celebrate Wales & the Welsh language 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

📣📢New Exhibitors Alert! Part 2📢📣

🤩As promised we can now introduce two more exhibitors who joined us last week… bringing the total of local talent selling with us up to a massive 52!! 🤩

💙Helga moved to Chirk from South Africa over 20 years ago. She dabbles in many crafts to keep her busy but for the Old Milk Bar she has made a plethora of beautiful jewellery items out of fused glass, silver and other materials.

💛Lindsey lives in Brymbo & has crafted since she was a child. After joining a crafting group she broadened her crafting talents & now creates unique pieces using wet felting techniques.
