I’m figuring out the future of my Etsy shop and would truly love your thoughts. 🥰

At the moment, I have my Donegal photography prints 📸 and Geraldine’s beautiful Irish gift set ☘️🎁, but I’d love to grow it into something that really reflects Rustic Cottage. 🏡💚

Should I keep it focused on Donegal and Irish-inspired pieces? 🇮🇪
Add signed books or gifts? 📚🎁
Or widen it out a little more?

🍂 I can’t believe it’s September already! 🍂

The summer has absolutely flown by. The children are heading back to school, the evenings are beginning to draw in, and despite the weather ☔️, we’ve had such a wonderful summer here in Donegal. 💚💛

While we’ve been busy renovating the cottage, I’ve also been quietly working on something really special.

Throughout the summer, I’ve been taking photographs 📸, collecting traditional Irish recipes from family, gathering local folklore and stories from friends, and writing about the places, history and little things that make Donegal so special.

And little by little, it all came together in this journal. 📖✨

And there’s one little detail that makes the cover especially meaningful to me — the photograph was taken by John. ❤️

Some days don’t need to be exciting to be special. ❤️

A quiet Sunday, a warm home, a cuppa, a little time to slow down and just appreciate where we are and how far we’ve come. 🏡☕️

There is still so much to do here at the cottage, but little by little it’s becoming home, and I think sometimes you have to stop looking at what still needs doing and simply enjoy what you already have.

I think we broke him… 🤣 It’s Saturday morning and John is actually sat down in his chair with a cuppa ☕️😳

No tools in his hands. No walls coming down. No “I’ll just do this one little job…” 😂

John actually works with another man who has the exact same full name as him… so I’m beginning to think the wrong John came home! 🤔😂

It’s Thursday, the sun is shining, and it’s so nice to open the windows and let the fresh air in. ☀️🏡

Thursdays seem to come around so quickly! I’m just getting everything ready for tonight’s renovation video going live at 6pm, and then I can head out and enjoy a nice country walk. 💚💛

I think I’ve found the perfect spot for one of my favourite prints from my Etsy shop 🤍

I’m planning to put this black & white lighthouse photo in our bedroom, above my set of drawers. I really like how the black & white image works with the white and soft grey tones we’re using in the room.

Now I just need to decide on the frame…

White?
Grey?
