Free stuff and cheap stuff, c'mon down y'all, the price is right!
The bird seed feeders are seconds - we decided not good enough to sell. Tops might not stay in place and/or the little flip down metal bits at the base might not stay down. So, FREE 🙂
The small-size cards have been added to our £1 card box ... Selling fast.

Halloween 🎃 It's nearly here and we're almost out of spiders and cats, we have one or two pumpkin doormats left, a couple of (now £7 😉) pumpkin mugs, a very few hanging felt ghosts (love those, just £2 each!) and plenty of velveteen pumpkins (3 sizes, £1.20 - £2.20).
Also still plenty of autumn faux flowers, pumpkin sprays and garlands.
Come on (up to) Church Stretton, we'd like to get these gone so more of Xmas 🎄 can come out ✨.

Shrubs shrubs shrubs ...

It's a good time to plant, any time from now /whenever the ground isn't frozen - to give them a head start for Spring.
We've only got one left of the lush white hydrangea, lonicera delavayi and Dropmore Scarlet. Plus I think one Trachelospermum jasminoides, one Jasmine and a couple of different Viburnums. Oh and some hydrangea bargains and a bright pink dwarf buddleia with a few flowers coming out. And of course (always at this time of year) some Hypericum Magical Pumpkin with flowers and berries.

Back in stock! One of our absolute bestsellers, the microgreens growing tray which includes basil, rocket and coriander seeds, plus the reusable tray - all for £6.50. A nice gift for anyone - also good for kids as they can grow them indoors any time of year, and eat them too of course.
We have a bigger range of Fothergills/Johnsons wildlife friendly flower seeds and new veg seeds to replace most of the individual microgreens.

Contrary to the rumours that have been going around, we are NOT closing down! What we've said is that we hope to retire by the end of 2028. Sooner (next year even) IF we can find a lovely younger couple/person/family to take the business forward.

We never planned to stay longer term - we are moving to France. What we did want to achieve was to leave Church Strettoners and our other loyal customers something more interesting than an empty bank at the heart of this town. That's all (apart from we weren't quite ready to retire, and had stock). I've been honest in saying 2026 has been tough for those high street retailers without e-business. But we're still here aren't we! Which I think, in such tricky economic times and with hot weather keeping people from wandering the streets, just goes to show that there is demand for what we do.

If we were about to close, I don't think we would have just invested in LOADS of new stock for the Christmas run-up, would we 🤔. Let's make this a good one! Happy autumn 🍁🍂 everyone 🎁 🪻🌹🌲🧣🪴🐾

Following the success of our £1.99 reduced cards, and the popularity of new ranges we've been experimenting with (humour that's definitely not garden-centre-staple humour 😉) ...
