I've not posted for a while. You've seen what I do, and painted rooms, to some, are just that. To me, it's my life. I decorate, therefore, I am.
Someone looked at my posts and thought I'd stopped the business, because I've not posted in ages. We joked that they actually thought I was dead... Well the good news is, I'm very much alive, and still decorating. Have been constantly since the last post. Thank you to all my clients this year so far.
This house is very special to me - and obviously, also to the person who lives there.
For me, it's because I've been there three times this year, and have now painted every single room within - there is nothing left to paint. Something that I've not done anywhere else. I even painted the garden gate and handrail. In black. As opposed to white, which is on every ceiling, wall, skirt, door and windowsill in the house.
I LOVE all white rooms. Simplistic, minimal, and stunning when complimented by an accent colour, like the copper and gold in one of the bedrooms. Fresh and vibrant, and a blank canvas to accessorise in whatever way you see fit.
Flat matt ceilings and walls, and tough, eggshell woodwork throughout, all in pure, brilliant white.
I very nearly accompanied this with Cream's White Room, but I've used that before - in a white room - so the Stones Paint It Black wins, just to highlight the one exterior job done this year on the gate!
Let me know if you need any decorating doing, I'll even help plan your colour scheme. Cheers for now, Mike (alive and decorating in and around Cirencester)
