This is so relevant. We are having real issues with parking in and around sea view street. Believe it or not, business owners are parking their cars all day in the street. We’ve politely asked them not to do this but apparently, they pay their road tax so can do what they want. Everyone has an hour!!! Unload, pop into your business. That’s fine. But by parking all day, this limits customer parking massively. We only have 9 spaces on the road side. say they’ll patrol regularly, but it never happens really due to limited staff!! We’re awaiting a visit from reform party leaders so we’ll see what happens. I’m thinking as a street, we might have to name and shame the businesses that are persistent. Many seem up for that, I definitely am. Collectively we have hundreds of thousands of followers so this might make them listen and start thinking about other people and not just themselves. One business even said!! He parks on the street so he can pop and get a jacket potato for his lunch!!!! The entitlement is real!!!!
