Calling all crocheters & knitters, i need your help!

You may have seen these small hearts before, commonly known as memory hearts or compassion hearts.

These hearts are made in pairs, one heart stays with a patient receiving end-of-life care while the other is given to a loved one to keep close. Although they may be apart, the two hearts remain connected, offering comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

The other day, one of my lovely customers claresharp459 from Ribble Valley District Nurses came into the shop, informing me that their stock of hearts is running low and asked if we could help.

So, I’m asking if anyone with a bit of scrap yarn and some spare time could please make a pair (or more!) of either knitted or crochet hearts for us to donate.

The hearts are small, roughly the size of your palm, with a bit of stuffing inside.
