Kim Tillyer's beginner's guide to Cyanotype is full of inspiring ideas with easy to follow instructions. We are also selling Cyanotype kits and ready mixed solution.

Cyanotype involves painting a surface (paper, fabric, stone etc.) with a solution of salts, which then turn blue (a beautiful Prussian blue) on exposure to sunlight. Areas can be masked to remain white by placing objects (ferns work particularly well in Kim's work) onto the surface before it is exposed to the light.
