Another treat from last week, working on a Humber ambulance ! Just need to do an Austin, and I'll have got the trifecta 😂
Unfortunately, the wind caught the canvas roof section on this ambulance when it was being transported. Luckily I could remove the frame, replace the canvas, and get her looking as good as new again!
A massive thank you goes to Taylor Historics at The Bunker Hereford for allowing me to use their wonderful space to work indoors (a blessing as it was quite wet outside at times!)

Worked on the only known surviving AND driving WW2 Morris ambulance this week! She needed a new body and cab canvas as the original one had holes in and was badly damaged. New canvas fitted and she's watertight again, ready for another year on the show circuit !
Her owner Mary is also an absolute powerhouse of a woman, taking her ambulance to numerous events up and down the country. When she's not doing that, she's riding classic motorbikes. My kind of lady 😎
Massive thanks goes to The Bunker in Hereford for allowing us to use their space to work on her!
Of course, there was a little something in it for them as well, photos of that to follow 🤭

A little appreciation post for this hot rod, now it's seeing the light of day after being stored for a while!
I actually made this bench seat over a year ago, and I'm so happy that it's going to be out and about this summer getting some use 😎 simple tuck and roll in black vinyl, with contrast white piping works perfectly for this 30s ford hot rod.

Customer is chuffed, bike seat looks pukka, happy days!

Did you know, we also make lots of canvas ! Big lorry covers and tilts, and small items like beds and chairs too.
This was a new canvas for a WW1 camp bed, in the iconic "willesden green" colouring. In the early 1900s, the canvas was treated with copper which made it rot proof, giving it this iconic green colour. Of course modern materials can be treated with different chemicals making them waterproof and rot proof, but this 100% cotton canvas is historically accurate both in fibre and colour !
These can be made to order and posted to you, ready for fitting to your own bed frame ☺️

Another steering wheel! This is definitely the largest wheel I have done to date. Original resin finish was peeling off badly, and owner wanted something a little more luxurious.
I added a thin layer of foam to aid grip and add a plush feel, then covered in soft black leather. All finished off with hand stitch!

I took my time carving the foam to make sure the shape was true to the reference images. Then covered in a black vinyl with black piping, and the trademark triumph band at the bottom of the seat. Can't wait to see this one on its bike!

Absolute pleasure to make the new commanders seat for 's dingo! Made from original style brown grained Rexine , with new foam on base and back. Both the seat pad and backrest are removable, fixed with lift the dot fittings. He managed to complete ### Corps with no seat! Not pleasant at all! This will provide comfort for many years to come .
