Amongst everyday life, being a busy mum of two, I often dream of having the time to put everything else aside and be creative for me for a change 😂🙌
Last night, it just so happened that I had a little bit of time, so I jumped at the chance to “make a start” on my autumn door wreath.
I’d been collecting materials for it for some time. Every time I’d go into the workshop, they were there sitting in a bucket, looking at me. 😂🤦🏼♀️
A little bit of foliage here, some dried stems there, beautiful seed heads I’d picked up because I knew they’d come in handy one day… slowly, the collection grew.
I’d had an idea in my head of how I wanted this wreath to feel, but as I started putting everything together, it naturally began to evolve.
I love that about creating. You can have an idea in your head, but it’s only when you start playing with the materials that you discover what it’s really going to become.
And before I knew it, my “I’ll just make a start” had turned into a 65cm autumn wreath which I’m convinced I’m not quite finished with yet 🤭.
Wild, abundant, full of texture and made from all those little pieces Id been collecting,I just needed to find some me time! 🕰️ 🤎🧡
