NO outside contractors NO multiple tradesmen just another recent in house installation by our gas safe and HETAS registered engineer Mark, along with Mario.

This installation involved knockout for stove chamber, altering gas supply pipework, sweeping and lining chimney with 125mm flexi gas liner, lining inside chamber with paintable cement board, cutting, polishing and fitting 30mm Zimbabwe slate , and to finish off we installed the amazing ravel 400c gas stove and a solid oak beam to compliment it.

Fully commissioned and signed off with gas safe certification.

SUPPORTING U.K NATIONAL GAS SAFETY WEEK 14th to 20th SEPTEMBER 2026.

Here is another gem of a find by Mark our in house gas safe and HETAS registered engineer.

Gas fire supplied by a non gas safe registered local fire and fireplace showroom who carried out the home survey and organised the fitting with an outside contractor who apparently they no longer use.

Although this precast flue doesn’t conform to current gas safety regulations and didn’t do so at the time of fitting the installation still went ahead putting this family in danger, luckily for them they rarely used the appliance.
Appliance removed and disconnected from the gas supply by Mark and made safe. Needless to say were returning soon to install there new fireplace and balanced flue gas fire.

No outside contractors no multiple tradesmen just another in house installation by our gas safe and HETAS registered engineer Mark, along with Mario.

Installation involved full knockout, sweeping chimney, lining chimney with 316 5 inch liner with stainless pot hanging cowl, cutting and polishing Zimbabwe 30mm slate on site along with slate upstands for skirting, boarding and tiling inside chamber then installing the portway luxima multifuel stove.
Installation commissioned and signed off with HETAS certification.

Installation involved sweeping chimney, lining chimney with 125mm flexi gas liner, knockout to accommodate new gas fire, altering gas supply pipe work then installing the semi rijou surround with the ravel 600 HE gas fire.

Fire commissioned and signed off with gas safe certification

SUPPORTING U.K NATIONAL GAS SAFETY WEEK 14th to 20th SEPTEMBER 2026.

One of Marks latest finds , fire supplied by a local non gas safe registered fire and fireplace showroom who organised the installation with an outside contractor around 6 years ago.

Fire showing signs of spillage on initial survey, liner not installed to gas safe regs , gas pipework not wrapped in fire opening, mechanical damage on gas supply pipework restricting flow of gas to fire, installation never registered.
On a positive note however the outside contractor hadn’t left a gas leak as the tightness test was bar tight.

Gas safe registered……HETAS registered….NO OUTSIDE contractors……we do the full in house installation from start to finish……we need say no more!

One of Marks latest finds , supplied by a non gas safe registered local fire and fireplace showroom who organised the installation with an outside contractor.

Costly mistake for this client but more importantly there lucky to be alive! , needless to say we will be returning soon to install a complete new flue system that will meet current gas safety regulations along with fitting there new gas fire and fireplace plus the client will have the installation signed off with gas safe certification.

Gas safe registered…..HETAS registered….No outside contractors…..we do the full installation from start to finish we need say no more!

NO outside contractors NO multiple tradesmen just another in house installation by our gas safe and HETAS registered engineer Mark,along with Mario.

This installation involved the fitting of the ravel 400 balanced flue high efficiency gas fire as client didn’t have a chimney , we also made this honed granite back panel with polished edges to allow the installation of an inset gas fire as client didn’t want to change existing fireplace.

Fully commissioned and signed off with gas safe certification.

This installation involved removing existing gas fire, sweeping chimney, lining chimney with 125mm flexi gas liner, bricking up catchment space behind fire , altering gas supply pipework then installing the amazing ravel 400 High efficiency gas fire with stove front.
Fully commissioned and signed off with gas safe certification.
Client super happy !
