Aren’t We Lucky. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. 50 x 50 x4cm. I was trying to capture the heat of the day. I’m not a lover of the heat. All windows and doors open trying to create a through draught. It kind of worked. Cooler now so off to the allotment to do some watering.

This Is How It Feels. 50 x 50 x 4cm. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. Just had a week in Cornwall. The sunsets always seem quite dramatic down there. Maybe because the skies are so big. Anyway, this is based on those skies.

After the Shower. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. 50 x 50 x 4cm. I got caught in the showers this morning while walking back from the allotment. By the time l got home the sun was shining. It’s good to know some things never change. Even April showers.

Between the Moon and the Tide. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. 70 x 70 x 4cm. Painted to the slow pulse and drifting atmosphere of Pink Floyd, this oil on canvas becomes an emotional seascape rather than a literal one born from sound as much as sight, l like the way it feels like it was pulled straight from the depths of a drifting, dreamlike state. I suppose it was really.

Whispers of Spring . 70 x 70 x 4cm. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. A nice few sessions spent putting this together. Spring is here. Birds are singing. And the clocks go forward tonight so lighter evenings again 👍

Follow the Sun. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. 50 x 50 x 4cm. A nice few hours spent on this one this morning. Music on and drift away. The ‘zone’ was entered and all enveloping. I’m not sure where l go but I’m happy when a painting comes out the other end that I’m happy with. The first of a series to complete for an upcoming exhibition a bit later in the year.

SOLD. Thank you Harriet at . So glad to see this one go to a local gentleman who collects original art. It’s a great feeling knowing you produce art that others appreciate in whatever form that might take. Onwards.

Long Hot Summer. 50 x 50 x 4cm. Oil and Cold Wax on Canvas. Summers gone but what a beautiful Autumn. I’ve been driven back to my paints after a flurry of sales from the amazing Harriet in Exmouth. Loving the whole process again but sometimes that old mojo decides to take a ride and leave you behind. Glad it’s back. Stick around for a while please.
