A little peep at my Autumn retreat last week in Alderly Edge.

So much colour, fibre, creativity and friendship. I'm honestly still letting it all sink in before I put together a proper retrospective. A magical few days and SO many gorgeous pieces created.

Huge thanks again to everyone who attended from near and far. And for my wonderful helpers and of course our brilliant photographer.

Well that's my 5th wet felting retreat in the bag!

I can't believe it's over. Alderly Edge was our location for this week and I welcomed guests from across the region, and as far as Chippenham and Minnesota!

75 pieces of felt made in two full days of workshops 😎

Last Friday I spent a lovely day at Tatton Park , starting with a tour of the Japanese Garden before settling down to some wet felting. 🌿

Eight lovely people joined me for the session, taking inspiration from the garden to create their own felted landscapes. It was wonderful to see how everyone interpreted the colours, textures and shapes in their own way, and the finished pieces were beautiful!

A lovely combination of nature, creativity and a bit of woolly magic. Thank you to everyone who came along and spent the day felting with me! 💚

Something a bit different today!

I used to draw horses constantly as a teenager and haven't tried since then

Pleased with these and it felt really good to return to something I love. Particularly chuffed as I only had a pavement chalk not an art chalk 😆 and a lovely chunky graphite stick.

Plan is to translate into wet felted images filled with energy and colour. Watch this space ...

Wet Felting Workshop at Ditzy Rose 🧶🍂

Wednesday 28th October | 11am–3pm

Come and enjoy a few hours of creativity at Ditzy Rose, exploring the wonderful world of wet felting!

Using soft merino wool, beautiful colours and a selection of decorative fibres, you'll learn how to layer, blend and transform wool into your own unique piece of felted art. Experiment with colour, texture and design, adding silks and other fibres to create something truly individual.

Whether you're completely new to wet felting or already have some experience, I'll guide you through the process and help you develop your own ideas. There's no need to follow a set design. This is your chance to experiment, get creative and enjoy some mindful making in a friendly, relaxed setting.

✨ All materials, equipment and tuition are included, and you'll take home a beautiful handmade creation to treasure.

Come along, get your hands into the wool and discover just how much you can create!

It's that time again....retreat prep!!!

We're off to Alderly Edge next week for my autumn retreat and it promises to be really special.

Three nights of friendship, felting, eating and drinking in the stunning Cheshire countryside. Safe to say I love my job 🍂🍁🥮🥧🍷🍾🥂
