A Stab In The Wool I make all my decorative items using a technique called needle felting.

My only tools are a felting mat, a number of specially barbed needles and unspun sheep’s wool.

This is Elvis. I made him a few years ago but unfortunately he had an accident with a new puppy and came back to be reinvented as Elvis mark 2. Luckily I was able to salvage him. Owners were very happy

I have had a super weekend. I was invited over a year ago to do a talk to the ladies of EYES, East Yorks Embroidery Society. Saturday arrives and I’ve got Laryngitis and hardly any voice 🤦‍♀️. Luckily there was a microphone and I managed to deliver my talk. I wanted it to be memorable but not because I was the guest speaker with no voice 🤣🤣. Today I ran a workshop for some of the members. My voice beginning to return and no microphone needed 😂. Here are some of the puffins that were made. A handful need to be finished at home later (far too much chatting went on at one end of the table 🤣😂). This was the first time needle felting for many of the attendees and I think the results are fabulous.
Thank you ladies for inviting me to speak and run the workshop. I had a lovely time xx
