Not long until the next early morning start to refuel & refresh the Fitmums 🥰🥰🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

🏃☕ Join us for the next Café Run on Sunday, 13 September with Café Norah & NoraHome Cottingham!

Great North Run weekend is always a special one. Whether you're lucky enough to have secured a place, missed out in the ballot, or can't make it to support friends and clubmates in person, why not join us for our Café Run and celebrate the occasion together?

We'll be running, walking and cheering on everyone taking part in the GNR from afar. Come and log a few miles in honour of our Fitmums & Friends runners before heading home to watch the action unfold on TV and support your fellow club members from your sofa!

In partnership with the lovely folks at Café Norah, we’ll meet at 8:15am outside the café for a warm up before heading out in friendly, supported groups.

✅ Choose from 1 to 6 miles running
✅ Walking group also available
✅ All led by Fitmums & Friends leaders

☕ Stay afterwards for a coffee and pastry, or brunch – Café Norah is opening early just for us!

Our chefs are STILL smiling after a very busy Sunday! 👨‍🍳👨‍🍳❤️

A huge thank you to Tom & Harry, along with our amazing KP Olha, for working so hard today — they are truly the unseen hero’s !! Working hard behind the scenes keeping the food flowing!

And of course, a massive thank you to our front of house team who keep Cafe Norah running smoothly.

Three Years of Cafe Norah ❤️

3 YEARS OF CAFE NORAH! 🎉☕️

What a ride it’s been! Three years filled with hard work, plenty of challenges, lots of laughter — and so many incredibly rewarding moments.

Over the last three years, we’ve met so many wonderful people. We’ve also sadly lost a few very special people along the way 💔 — people who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We love being at the heart of our Cottingham community. ❤️ Watching families meet up, friends gather, people make new friends and connections — that’s what Cafe Norah is all about.

And then there are our furry customers… 🐾 Watching tails wag and hearing the occasional bark of pure joy when another four-legged friend walks through the door! 😂🐶

We’ve watched Team Norah change, grow and develop too. What started with a small team has grown into a wonderful group of people who serve freshly made, locally sourced food and drinks with care every day. We’re incredibly proud to create local jobs, provide regular incomes and give younger people their first experience of the world of work in a safe, supportive and family environment.

And of course, we can’t forget our quirky little shop 🛍️✨ — a small but much-loved corner of Norah where you find those little unexpected treasures you didn’t know you needed! It’s become such a special part of what we do, and we love seeing people browse, discover, and take a piece of NoraHome with them.

Our brilliant monthly Open Mic nights have grown into something really special, with fantastic performances, audience participation, singing, dancing and plenty of fun. 🎤🎶💃

Our Themed Evenings have become sell-outs, taking your taste buds around the world — one plate at a time! 🌎🍽️

And then there’s our Silent Book Club… 📚
A completely different side of Cafe Norah. A room full of people, yet strangely quiet and peaceful. Everyone absorbed in their own book. For one hour, it genuinely feels like life has stopped. ❤️

Three years ago, we could never have imagined everything Cafe Norah would become.

So, to every single customer — regulars, new faces, familiar faces, families, friends, dog walkers, book lovers, singers, dancers, foodies and everyone in between…

THANK YOU. ❤️

Thank you for supporting us, believing in us, laughing with us, eating with us and making Cafe Norah what it is.

We genuinely wouldn’t be here - doing what we do if it wasn’t for every one of you.

Here’s to the last 3 years — and whatever adventures the next ones bring! 🥂☕️❤️
