Hand made stair gate fitted this weekend, nice ride out to Alston for this one 👌🏼

Had to get creative for the post to ensure the gate opened past the nearby radiator.

Been working on a custom gate with curved rails and traditional joinery. Took a bit of time getting the arcs clean and everything lined up properly, but it’s coming together nicely.

Still a bit of sanding and final tweaks to go before finish goes on.

I always enjoy this stage — when it starts looking like something rather than just bits of wood.

What do you think of the design so far?

If you’ve got a project in mind, drop me a message 👍
