As most of you know, I’ve been back in the UK since 2013, and I have to share something with you all that is dear to my heart!

PROPER BBQ 🔥😄.

For all those years since leaving the USA, I have never found a proper BBQ joint! My dreams came true last Saturday at Sandown Boulevard in “Low n Slow”. It was music to the soul eating smoked brisket that was trimmed, seasoned and smoked to perfection, as well as the chicken and everything else on the monstrous “Texas Sized” platter.

“I took the picture halfway through eating as I knew just by looking at it when it came to our table that we were in for a treat” so apologies on picture. We are so lucky to have the BBQ joint on our tiny Island.

One of the reasons why I started smoking my own seasonings business was just because I missed barbecuing. And now, it got even better when low n slow asked me to come on board and create some seasonings with them.

A fabulous ending to an already great year!
So, if you haven’t eaten there yet, please do! It’s not only terrific food, but is in a setting where you and your family can sit back and chill, and create a memorable moment! Especially with the view of the sea, “priceless”.

Just happened to create this masterpiece of flavours!
Mini Lamb Kofta, rolled in Dukkah! 🫪😱♥️.
Well easy for a canapé night or a simple starter with pita and hummus.

Flavour profile - a delicious smoky and crispy crusted kofta, with a much welcomed blanket of dukkah. The dukkah cuts through the rich lamb fat and sends its aromatics, of sesame & coriander etc, racing around your palate, leaving you in awe of your own creation, slightly dazed, and instantly desperate for another bite.
