I’m really looking forward to being at this event later this month. Here’s the details from the organiser.

FANCY A FAMILY-FRIENDLY CRAFT FAYRE WITH A LITTLE BIT OF A DIFFERENCE AND MORE THAN A FEW AUTUMNAL DELIGHTS? LOOK NO FURTHER THAN NOT JUST PLUM JAM!

When: Sunday 18 October 2026, from 11am to 4pm.

Where: Wylam Institute, Church Road, Wylam

We're bringing together an array of artisan stalls and talented creatives and makers from the local community and further afield for a day brimming with special autumn touches and unique stalls featuring beautiful hand-made arts, crafts and foods from baked goods, jewellery, woodwork, textiles, candles and much, much more... it's the perfect opportunity to pick up that truly unique and thoughtful Christmas gift!

Entry is completely free and there's a complimentary seasonal tipple for grown-ups and a sweet treat for everyone on arrival.

We've got live music from local folk singer and musician Geoff Rodgers, a children's craft corner, face painting, a charity tombola and a "Meet the Author" and book-signing with local author, Jackie Watson.

We're teaming up with local charity Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care for October's event. All proceeds from our charity tombola and event will be donated to this incredible local charity, which makes such a huge difference to the lives of cancer patients across the region.

Not Just Plum Jam is all about kindness and giving back to the community, and a warm welcome awaits everyone.

A break from Christmas and glitter for a moment!

I’ve got these freshly cut book-themed plaques ready to hit the painting table… and now comes the difficult bit.

Bright and colourful 🌈 or vintage and a little bit quirky? 📚

Decisions, decisions! 🤔😂

🍂 Hello October! 🍂

Well… Christmas has officially landed at Pink Paws! 🎄🩷😂

From October onwards, the Christmas goodies will be making an appearance at all of my market events, so you can get yourselves organised nice and early — and I can actually have the time to make all those lovely personalised gifts for you!

Remember, all of my painted items are hand-painted by me, not magically produced by elves overnight (although that would be handy! 😂). Each piece takes time, care and a lot of love to make, so October is when I need to get cracking.

There’ll be decorations from First Christmas keepsakes to the ever-popular caravan themed, gifts with a proper North-East twist, and festive home décor to make your Christmas display a bit more you.

And of course, there’ll be plenty of ready-to-buy goodies too, because sometimes you just need to see something and think “Yep, that’ll do nicely!” 😉

So… if you're planning on being organised this Christmas, October is your warning! 🎄😂🩷
