A lovely Amtico job finished right here in Hawkhurst 👌

These are returning customers after we previously fitted their hall and kitchen in a tile-effect Amtico, and this time they asked us back to tackle the living room.

They chose Amtico Spacia Powdered Oak, which I think works brilliantly in this room. It has soft, light oak tones without looking washed out, and gives the whole space a really clean, contemporary feel. Powdered Oak is part of Amtico’s Spacia collection, with a 0.55mm wear layer, Quantum Guard surface protection and a 25-year residential warranty.

As always with LVT, what you don’t see is just as important as what you do. We prepared and smoothed the existing floor using ARDEX CL Plus before fitting the Amtico, giving us the flat, smooth base needed for a proper finish.

Really pleased with how this one came together — and always nice to be asked back by an existing customer. 🐏

Another lovely one finished in Bearsted 👌

Invictus Tiberius in Mirage supplied and fitted to this dining room and bedroom last week for a friend of mine and returning customer.

Tiberius is a really nice all-round carpet — a thick, soft 14.5mm pile, but being made from 100% solution-dyed yarn it’s also bleach cleanable and designed to cope with everyday family life. Exactly the sort of carpet that gives you that luxurious feel without being frightened to actually live on it!

The Mirage colour works brilliantly here too — light enough to brighten the rooms without being stark, and it looks especially good around that curved bay window.

Apparently I’m no longer allowed to choose the flooring in our own house… 😂

After I picked the white Karndean tiles for our utility room — which, I’ll be honest, hasn’t gone down particularly well with my wife considering it leads straight in from the garden — Jade decided she was taking control of the living room!

So naturally, with 4 children in the house, she’s chosen a very sensible DARK coloured carpet. 😂

All joking aside, I think she’s chosen well. It completely changes the feel of the room and looks lovely against the white walls and black radiators.

Sometimes you’ve just got to know when to hand over the sample books… 😬

A bit of colour for this one! 💙

Westex Ultima Twist Major in Midnight, supplied and fitted to this staircase in Sandhurst.

Ultima is a British-made 80% wool / 20% nylon carpet, designed for heavy domestic use, so it’s a great choice for busy areas like stairs. It gives you the natural feel and appearance of wool, with the added durability of nylon.

We fit an awful lot of greys, beiges and natural shades, so it’s always nice when somebody goes for something a little bolder — and I think the deep blue looks brilliant against the white woodwork here.

A few bathroom vinyls completed this week in Hawkhurst, Tenterden & Robertsbridge 👌

It’s amazing how much difference a new floor can make to a smaller room. From traditional wood/parquet effects through to something a little bolder and patterned, vinyl is practical, easy to look after and there are loads of designs to choose from now.

And thankfully all three toilets were newly installed… I’ve never been a huge fan of wrapping my head around someone’s loo while fitting the floor. 😂

Now that’s a cracking finish 👌

Cormar Primo Naturals in Wild Honey, fitted through an office, two bedrooms, stairs and landing.

The existing flooring was uplifted and disposed of, before fitting Wilson’s Plushwalk underlay, new fixings and the new carpet throughout.

And this certainly wasn’t an empty-house job — plenty of furniture to work around and move as we went! 😅 All part of getting the job done properly with as little disruption as possible.

Wild Honey was a great choice here. Warm enough to complement the natural timber around the house, but still light and neutral enough to keep everything feeling bright.

A lovely practical carpet and a really smart finish throughout.
