Amtico Spacia Traditional Oak laid in Herringbone supplied and fitted to this hall and kitchen/diner in Staplecross.

This project was one of those jobs where the finished floor only tells half the story.

To get this looking right, there was a huge amount of preparation beforehand — including 3 coats of latex smoothing compound with aggregate to build the floor up and achieve the correct finished height after the previous laminate had been removed. Then came the fitting… and with a herringbone layout, there’s nowhere to hide. Lots of setting out, lots of intricate cuts and plenty of attention to detail throughout.

Massive credit to Jack and John on this one 👏

Even better — the customers were kind enough to leave us a lovely Google review afterwards, which always means a lot to a small family business like ours.

We think the warm oak tones paired with the blue kitchen wall have worked brilliantly 👌

🐏 Progress shot from a lovely project over in Robertsbridge this week…

Jack making great progress on this Amtico Spacia Traditional Oak laid in Herringbone — and this one has been all about getting the preparation right before a single tile is permanently fitted.

The previous floor had been built up with laminate, so to achieve the correct finished height and meet neatly to the underside of the skirting, we’ve applied 3 coats of latex smoothing compound with aggregate to carefully build the floor up and create the perfect base.

Preparation like this isn’t always the exciting bit… but it’s what makes the finished result look and perform exactly as it should.

Already looking smart and we’re excited to show you the completed transformation next week 🕺

🐏 A great little project completed recently in Hawkhurst — Amtico Spacia supplied and fitted into this garden office.

This one is a good example of why preparation and patience matter.

Before fitting, we prepared the subfloor properly using flooring grade plywood to create a stable, smooth base ready for LVT installation. The original plan was to complete sooner, but with temperatures climbing last week we made the decision to hold off and return once conditions were right.

LVT can expand and behave differently in excessive heat during installation, and sometimes the best decision is not the quickest one.

Thankfully the customer agreed — because we’d always rather take an extra trip than take a shortcut.

You expect perfection. So do we.

We supplied and fitted Kellars Grandeur in Oatmeal throughout 2 large bedrooms and the landing of this stunning farmhouse — and what a setting for it.

Grandeur is all about creating that luxurious, soft underfoot feel while still being practical enough for everyday living. The subtle oatmeal shade works brilliantly here, keeping everything bright and calm while complementing the character of the property.

And that copper bath… 😍 Safe to say that might be one of the nicest bathroom views we’ve worked around for a while.

Big open spaces, beautiful exposed beams, and a carpet choice that softens the room without taking attention away from the features of the home.

This one was fitted using Likewise Caprice into a roundel with a staircase right through the middle — plenty of shaping, planning and detail needed to get it flowing properly.

A big shoutout to Ian and Mark on this one 👏 Excellent work and a super finish as always.

Caprice is a brilliant option if you’re after that soft, luxurious feel underfoot without losing practicality. With its subtle tonal appearance and comfortable pile, it gives a clean, modern look while still being suitable for everyday family living.

The colour works really well here against the crisp white staircase and keeps the space feeling bright and open.

Sometimes the jobs that look the simplest in photos are the ones that take the most thought 👌

🐏 A lovely transformation completed recently in Ticehurst.

We supplied and fitted Penthouse Shoreline in Sandbank throughout three bedrooms, the landing and staircase, giving the whole upstairs a fresh, warm and consistent look.

Shoreline is a fantastic choice for busy family homes. Made from durable polypropylene yarn, it’s bleach-cleanable, stain-resistant and incredibly practical, while still offering a soft, comfortable feel underfoot. The subtle flecked appearance also helps disguise everyday marks between cleans, making it ideal for bedrooms, stairs and landings.

We think the Sandbank colour works beautifully with the existing oak woodwork and creates a calm, welcoming feel throughout the home.

About time we tied the knot really 😬🤷‍♂️

Running a business, raising kids and juggling life has definitely kept us busy over the years, but now it’s finally time to make it official ❤️

But first — just look at this beautiful finish 👌
This is Kellars “Grandeur” supplied and fitted to three bedrooms, a stairs & landing, including the dressing area. Soft, luxurious and giving the whole upstairs a really clean, calm feel.

Only problem?
The customer actually ordered Beige… not Cream 😅

We placed the order correctly with the rep, but somewhere along the line the wrong colour got supplied. One of those situations every flooring company dreads after the carpet is fully fitted!

Thankfully, we’ve got incredibly understanding customers and a fantastic rep who has agreed to replace the carpet in the correct colour 👏

Not the outcome we wanted first time round, but these things are a reminder that how problems are dealt with matters just as much as the fitting itself. We’ll always put things right where needed 👍

Still… credit where it’s due — the Cream does look seriously good 😂

🐏 Karndean Knight Tile “Natural Character Oak” supplied and fitted to this lounge, dining room, kitchen, hall and WC over in Sissinghurst this week 👌

This one was far from straightforward…

The existing laminate flooring had to be fully uplifted and disposed of, which then left us needing to rebuild the floor height back up to the bottom of the skirtings for the correct finish. In total, this project used over 30 units of latex smoothing compound along with 10 bags of aggregate to get everything properly prepared before the flooring could even go down 🥵

Preparation is absolutely everything with LVT flooring. A good finish starts long before the first plank is laid — and this is a great example of that.

Karndean’s Natural Character Oak gives a really warm, natural look with plenty of variation and character running throughout the floor. Perfect for open-plan spaces like this.

Another challenging job completed and another superb finish for some lovely customers 🙌
