Here we have a neat compact door fitted in the recess, between the brickwork and below the lintel. It has a Somfy Rollixo control system and an external manual override.

Battery back up.
Here we are installing a battery back up system for a roller garage door. This takes all the effort out of winding up a garage door with a manual winding handle in the event of a power cut. The battery is maintained on float charge all the time there is mains supply. In the event of a power failure simply press the button outside the garage and then press the button on your remote handset. The door opens powered by the battery. When mains power is restored the back up unit switches back to mains supply and recharges the battery. Nice and simple.

Black Woodgrain Doors.
Our Glide 77 roller doors were fitted to this attractive garage/office space development. The roller door was in black woodgrain foil to match the weatherboard exterior and the inner face of the door was in white to match and brighten the interior. Sometimes it is worth paying the extra to get exactly what you want.

Large 4.6m Door.
Here we have a very wide and tall door, 4.6m x 2.4m opening with a steel lintel. After removing the original door and it's trim, we had to strip back to the steel lintel to then conceal it with white board. The reveals were also clad with the white board to leave a perfect finish. This door was controlled by a Somfy system with an optical safety edge.

Black Woodgrain Roller Doors.
Have a look at this a pair of our black woodgrain finish Glide 77 doors. They were elected to match the black timber boarding on this substantial new build garage with office above. Looking good even though the project is not quite complete.

This is our Optima 77 SE with Somfy control system fitted to a new build garage.
It is always a joy to fit a roller door to a well designed and well built timber frame garage.
The important aspect is to allow enough room for the roll housing above the lintel and adequate space at the sides to conceal the guide rails. The opening needs to be flush up the sides and along the lintel to avoid using any spacers or infills.
This one is a lovely example.

A threshold to the garage entrance can be seen as a problem with most types of garage doors and with most brands of roller doors. Our Glide 77 doors are available with custom made to measure bottom rails to accommodate this. Problem solved.

This was an interesting job on a new development in Kings Hill. A timber framed three bay car port and two customers. A wall was built to separate the customer's spaces then we installed three matching doors with alarms. We used the ANSA Roll-Smart control system. If the doors hit anything on the way down they stop and reopen.
