Behind every great story are the people brave enough to share it.

As we count down to our BBC Lifeline Appeal this Sunday, we'd like to thank Danielle, Freya, Matthew and their families for sharing their experiences of living with Tourette syndrome. We also want to thank the other people who offered to be a part of the campaign, alongside everyone who helped bring the programme to life.

Their stories highlight the importance of understanding, support and community, and the difference this can make to people with Tourette’s and their families.

Presented by Eddie Marsan, the programme features real stories from people living with Tourette syndrome, including Danielle, Freya and Matthew, and highlights the impact of our workplace support, school support and TICfest events.

This is a wonderful opportunity to increase understanding of Tourette syndrome, challenge stereotypes and raise awareness of the support available.

My eldest daughter Louise is in this campaign video and is fighting hard to increase understanding of Tourette Syndrome. My Granddaughter is only 9 and has recently been diagnosed. Please help us to shape the future for her, this starts with choosing to understand 💚
