Thank you Dolly 😔💛✨

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton - beloved musician, songwriter and actress, as well as the founder and visionary behind Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

In 1995, inspired by her father who couldn't read or write, Dolly Parton launched the Imagination Library, a project which aims to send an age-appropriate book to every child every month until they are five. Since then, the project has expanded into other countries around the world, and we are privileged to be the organisation's UK publishing partner. So far, 7 million Puffin Books and Ladybird Books have been gifted to children aged 0-5 across the UK thanks to Dolly's incredible Imagination Library gifting programme.

The Dollywood Foundation, home to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, said she was proudest of what it meant to her Dad. In her own words: "My Daddy told me the Imagination Library was probably the most important thing I had ever done."

Today, we celebrate the life of Dolly Parton and her extraordinary contributions to music, literacy and reading. Thank you, Dolly. 💗
