On 28th August, my kids will be taking on the rather terrifying task of shaving my head! 😂
I'm doing it to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that does an incredible amount to support people and families affected by cancer.
I've also given the kids an extra challenge… if we reach £500, they get to shave off my facial hair AND eyebrows too! 😳😂
We'll be doing it LIVE on Facebook, so please join us for what should hopefully be an entertaining — and slightly embarrassing — evening!
Cancer affects so many people and families, and this is a cause that deserves all the support we can give it. If you can donate, no matter how much, it would mean a lot to us. ❤️

All great guesses but nobody got it right. They are in-fact photograph holders. (Can also be used as table number holders for weddings/resteraunts) . I only came up with the design for these yesterday so these are brand new and will be trialed tomorrow at the CDDF Producers Market in Castle Douglas. They will also be available on Etsy soon. Photo is me on a train aged around 6 😆

Excited to share some sneak peek pics of this commission that is almost at completion - a set of very unique gates. They are currently being painted and once we figure out a few technical complexities regarding the fitting and mechanical side , they will be finished. Expect completed photos in the next couple of weeks 🤞.

Another bookend commission I had from Sandra Dean - she saw the first ones I made and asked if I could do something similar. I was given a list of her favourite books and she left the rest up to me. I never make two creations the same so this time I added old fashioned candle holders to them. The spines were made from a recycled copper immersion heater tank and I engraved bespoke brass nameplates for each title. The book pages were reclaimed plywood and the covers were a mixture of oak and walnut veneered boards. Big thanks to Clare at Angelfire Crafts for laser engraving the book covers for Animal farm and Wyrd Sisters. Another truly unique piece of functional art completed!

Just finished up this set of very unique driveway gates with a pedestrian central gate for Sarah Barras. The pedestrian gate features a steel tree wrapped around an amber glass moon. As always , this was a challenge but I got there in the end. A few finishing touches to be added once the driveway is concreted but other than that , these gates are complete 😄🥳🎉
