What a fantastic day our Community Comic Con CIC Outreach Team had at Halloween Horrorfest, organised by Distant Screams Events Ltd 🎃

Our Dice Tombola raised an incredible £137 for Community Comic Con CIC. Every penny will go back into supporting the work we do as a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer-led Community Interest Company 🫶

A massive thank you to everyone who had a go and to these amazing traders who kindly donated prizes on the day 👇

And, of course, a massive thank you to all the other traders who have donated prizes in the past ❤️

We had 92 people take part in our Draw Your Scariest Character Wall 🧟

That's 92 individual pieces of artwork created and proudly displayed throughout the day 🤩

And that's not even counting all the other children and adults who sat down at our FREE Art Station to enjoy some colouring in and drawing 🖍️

We were also joined by Thornton Cleveleys Board Games Club, who brought along a fantastic selection of spooky board games for people to try out 🎲

It was brilliant seeing people getting involved, discovering new games and enjoying some tabletop gaming together 🫶

The event was also a great opportunity for us to spread the word about our Comic Con Community Podcast 🎙️

We loved chatting with visitors and the wonderful traders about the podcast, what we do and the opportunities for people within the pop culture community to get involved. We even had the chance to see if some of the talented traders would be interested in joining us as future podcast guests 🤩

Seeing so many people getting creative, having fun and enjoying our activities is exactly why we give up our time to volunteer 👍

Thank you to Distant Screams Events Ltd for inviting our Outreach Team along to be part of Halloween Horrorfest and giving us the opportunity to reach and engage with even more people 🖤

Our Outreach Team is just one part of what Community Comic Con CIC does to support communities, encourage creativity and bring people together through a shared love of pop culture 🤝

I can’t express how much fun today at horror fest was! Absolutely brilliant experience lovely friendly and spooky vibe thank you to everyone! Especially Distant Screams Events Ltd for organising such a fantastic event!
Massive thank you to everyone who said hi to me on my stall and purchased with me your support is unbelievable!!! It has honestly been the furthest I have travelled with Tabitha’s Dream and let’s just say I can’t wait to do it all again soon!!!!!
