Day 4 - Favourite Make

Of course it had to be THE dress didn't it? Made using King Cole Yarn & Pattern Supplier Cottonsoft DK in Sage Green and the Moonchild Dress by Stephanie Pokorny 😍

After 2 months solid of crochet it was safe to say I was so burnt out with crochet I had about 6 months of just knitting 🤣

I was talking to a customer today about West Yorkshire Spinners. She was unaware of the current situation.

It has also been a topic of discussion between independant shops.

So I’ve had a Google. The situation is that
West Yorkshire Spinners brand have ceased manufacturing production and the business has been put on the market and production has ceased.

The business faced steep increases in energy bills, wages and national insurance costs. Staff who worked at the Yorkshire facilities have been made redundant.

Any remaining stock is available through retailers who were stockists of the West Yorkshire Spinners brand.

I know that independant stockists are doing their best to network with each other to satisfy customer needs so my advice would be to check on the UKHKA website - ukhandknitting.com for retailers near you that are/were suppliers. The independant network will do its best to help crafters chasing stocks.

Day 1 of the 2026 challenge - This Is Me!

So let's have a reintroduction - I'm Hannah and I'm the extremely proud owner of Pretty Knits Wool Shop Darlington for the last 2 and a half years 🥹♥️

I love all things yarn, knitting, crochet, embroidery, EPP, cross stitch and in the last year - spinning! Scroll to the last photo to see my wedding dress that took me 2 months to make!
