Setting a new blue standard. 💙

We’ve just finished fitting brand new carpet throughout this school’s entrance hall, main corridor and staircase, ready for the busiest footfall you can imagine. Hard wearing, easy to maintain and a bright, welcoming first impression for every pupil, parent and visitor who walks through the door.

Schools need flooring that can take a battering and still look smart at the end of term. That’s exactly what we planned for here, with careful finishing on every stair nosing and threshold.

Years of assemblies, PE lessons, lunchtimes and chairs scraping across the boards had worn away the old varnish and dulled the grain in this school hall. Our team gave it a careful sand with our dust-free equipment which takes it back to clean, bare wood, revealing the colour and character that were there all along.

Then comes the part you don’t see. A fresh seal locks that newly revealed beauty in, protecting the wood from thousands of school shoes and leaving a smooth, splinter-free surface that is easier to clean and keep hygienic.

A floor with a story. These Fleet Street offices once belonged to the owner of The Daily Telegraph, and Winston Churchill is said to have been a regular visitor.

The original 1920s oak parquet and pine block had seen almost a century of footsteps and so our team repaired, filled, restored and sanded every section. To finish the job we then primed with Bona 2K oil and finished with Bona Traffic for a hard-wearing surface that honours its heritage.

Nearly 100 years on, it’s ready for its next chapter.

Over the summer holidays, we transformed a school corridor and classroom ready for the new term.

In the corridor, we prepped and levelled the surface with renovation latex before laying Forest FX vinyl, a durable, timber-look flooring built to handle heavy daily footfall.

In the classroom, Polyflor Vogue vinyl was installed for a hardwearing, easy to maintain finish that will see pupils through many school years to come.

It was a privilege to be trusted with the carpet fitting at the Dior concession in Selfridges, one of the most prestigious retail locations in London, where every detail matters and nothing is left to chance.

Working within a space of this calibre meant every cut and every seam had to be finished to a standard worthy of the brand standing above it, because in a setting like this, the floor is every bit as much a part of the show as the catwalk.

🏀🏐 Game over vs. Game on! ⚽️🏀

This floor at Sutton at Hone Scout Hut had seen better days and it was worn, tired and ready to throw in the towel. But then we stepped onto the court, it was a different story!

We sanded back the years of wear and then sealed it with Bona Mega to protect it for the future, and repainted crisp new court markings so the games can begin again.

From final whistle to first bounce, this floor is back in the game and ready for action!
