The special birthday pie chart has spoken 🎂😁 Don't miss our 21st birthday event tomorrow, 5th September, at Geilsland Estate! 🥳

This special birthday edition will feature 54 indoor stalls, each brimming with unique, high-quality crafts including jewellery, textiles, woodwork, ceramics, art, glasswork, and more. We have more new crafters joining us for the first time and there are food & drink stalls with Ellwoods Pizza outside selling delicious freshly made pizza from their shiny pizza truck from noon 🍕 There's also cake, gin, honey, cider, Indian street food, rum, and chutney - even your four-legged friends are covered with a fabulous dog bakery. We also have our chatter & natter cafe area in the hall run by Mocha JaK’s, serving a selection of homemade cakes and hot & cold drinks, or you can pop round to their main cafe to enjoy their full menu 11am to 4pm, FREE entry & FREE parking, accessible venue, on-site cafe, and it's all dog friendly too! Sold.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us during our time at the 'Crafty Coo '.

This is the latest piece to find a new home. We hope all our pieces are enjoyed for many years to come.

I'll be over at the start of next week with something new for the shelves so if you're in the neighbourhood pop in and say hi to the staff and catch up on what's new.

We're reaching the end of this display cycle at the Crafty Coo but don't despair we'll be back later in the year with all manner of stocking fillers and gifts for that someone special.

We're getting ready for market in Beith tomorrow and having a tidy of the workshop today then it's time to be creative.

Who's getting ready for market?

Just put the finishing touches to our latest clock. I really like this one - it's going to sit on my mantlepiece for a few days so I can enjoy it before going to
Scottish Arts and Crafts Fair in Geilsland Estate Beith on Saturday.

Here's a wee selection of what you're going to see on Saturday.

Could you use these?

These are some of the pieces to come out of the workshop this week.

There's some burr wood and resin hearts that still need mounting on a backdrop- they should be ready for next Saturday in Beith with 'The Scottish Arts and Crafts Fair ' 21st birthday bash.

If there's something specific you would like us to bring to that event please message us and as always we'll do our best to accommodate you.

End of an Era.

Sometimes it's time to recognise when it's time for something new.
So the last of our dominoes have left 'The Crafty Coo ' and we're just about ready to produce some new lines.

Good news is there's still time to pop in and see what else this Aladin's cave of crafted marvels has that you might like.

Open on Saturdays- when you're out and about.

Handmade & Authentic

It's easy going to market and saying items are Handmade. But how to provide proof of that claim has been on my mind recently.

I'm very protective of my shop. It's a safe place. However I think it's probably time to less precious about that and share some of what goes on behind closed doors.

Probably for next year we want to look at displaying some video via a tablet on our market tables to back up our handmade claim. So I'm starting to video some of my work with a view to making that happen.

Hopefully you enjoy a nosey at what goes on.

How does anything nice come from this mess?

After 2 days of galavanting up and down the country I'm back in the shop making cool pieces.

Finally bought a new phone holder (the last one is lost in a corner of the shop - possibly never to be seen by me again) and can shoot some video of the making process which is probably a little more interesting than still shots of finished items all the time.

I'll get some bowls and serving boards finished this week and then see what time is left for other projects.
