🌟 MEET Dawn at First Light Photographic in Daventry 🌟
Continuing our series spotlighting Daventry's independent retailers, meet Dawn Branigan, owner and photographer at First Light Photographic, High Street, Daventry.
🌟 What is your store famous for?
“First Light Photography & Framing is a standout on the High Street, being the oldest building in Daventry and a warm welcoming haven. It has been described by customers as both an ‘Aladdin's Cave’ and a ‘Cornucopia of Delights’. We offer the specialist services of photographic printing and professional picture framing. Security is provided by two of the cutest canine security guards you'll ever meet - Charley & Toby!”
🌟 Why did you open a shop in Daventry?
“I was fed up with having to make a 50 mile round trip to Stony Stratford a couple of times a week for my own photographic needs, so I decided to bite the bullet and open up in Daventry - that was 21 years ago! Fortunately, lots of local photographers became fans of the shop, and I’ve also added a wide range of photo-based gifting and a professional framing service, so we’re as busy as ever!”
🌟 What's your favourite lunch in Daventry?
“Without a doubt, I choose the Kitchen in Bowen Square - their vegeburgers are legendary!”
🎅 What do you have special for Christmas?
“I can produce a huge range of high quality personalised photo gifts, such as photo mugs, magnets, canvases, cushions and blankets to name but a few. Framed photos of loved ones are always a great gift and customers have a range of frames from the traditional to modern to choose from.”
🎅 Where will you be shopping this Christmas?
“Daventry, of course, and small independent shops whenever possible! It’s so easy to buy online, but it’s local town centres that are suffering. When you buy from an actual shop in Daventry, you are investing in the future of our town.”
