The memorial comprises three steps bearing a plinth and a tapering pillar surmounted by a Celtic cross. It is made of roughly chiselled Cornish granite. Stands outside the church of St. Michael and St.Mary.

I work from photos and used to make sure there were no cars, roadworks, etc. in the picture, or remove them when doing the painting. I decided to leave people and cars in them now, so I thought I would leave the road works in this one.

Today, Heaths is one of only several remaining market gardens in the area, maintaining the traditional growing methods and practices, and supplying you the best home grown vegetables for over 100 years.
