New fabric crush 🤎 🩶 I have a large lampshade to make today in this stunning art deco style greyhound fabric with Autumnal brown hues it’s very apt with the abrupt change in weather.
Just as a side note my own sight-hound has no intention of looking this athletic today, with the rain pounding down I shall struggle to prise her outside at all!

The candle clip lampshades pictured are a new addition to the website and are available made to order.

Through the heatwave I’ve been so grateful for the cool of my studio. It’s the oldest part of the building with thick walls and is north facing, a virtual cave and a lovely refuge from the sun to work on a flurry of bespoke orders in customers own fabric including this set of pretty embroidered candle clip lampshades lined in linen. 🌿

I refurbish a lot of lampshades and for once I remembered to take a before image!
This one was the original lampshade from a family heirloom lamp and was returned to the owner last week after being recovered in James Hare Astor (a faux silk for longevity). I also added a silky lining and resprayed the yellowing gimbles.

A new creation, but using all vintage materials including original vintage 1980’s cotton sateen fabric. I adore this colour combo of steely-blue and salmon-pink, and the pleat effects works well to reign in the blousy 80’s florals so it’s not too overly chintz.
This one is 13” base diameter and is over on my website (UK delivery only)
