The haunted house is great fun. What about the cuddly toys for the kids? And as for a knitted grim reaper, well who knew there was even such a thing 😅 Did you spot the tiny frog?

Something new in the hand-dyed section at last! From Vixter Woolista, a pretty colourway called "Millie Nason," using a special blend of Tencel, merino, alpaca, and paper.* £25 each 100g/400m.

*Abaca paper is made from the Musa plant, whose family includes bananas and plantains. Its considered a sustainable fibre, so if you buy some you'll be doing a bit for the planet too 🥰

Another simply fabulous crochet piece by Jill! This is her daughter, who didn't want to be in the photo, wearing the jumper her mum made for her. Jill used two 200g balls of Rico Melange Wonderball aran and again, she made it up as she went along. Absolutely brilliant!

This! Jill bought the gorgeous yarn a few months back and told us how she was going to make waistcoat. It's been too warm until just now to wear it, but..... oh how it's worth the wait.

She didn't use a pattern either, just worked it out as she went along. Jill you are one awesome crocheter! Flippin' well done!

BTW, the yarn is a Katia summery, organic cotton - "Fair Infinity." We have a bit of stock left if you fancy working with it.

Hot news!

We have another special guest for Yarnstravaganza! The awesome Florrie & Jean is joining us on VIP Night (Thursday 1st October), with her suitcase full of super-pretty goodies to treat yourselves to :-)

We don't think she'll have the dahlia with her but we are hoping she brings, amongst other things, some of her fabulous project bags!

Brilliant news! We have another Yarnstravaganza social event!

Thanks to the lovely folk at Cosy Cafe, on Wednesday 30th September we will be nipping across the road from 12.30pm to 2pm (sharp, everyone out the door!) to knit or crochet pumpkins.

Bring your own yarn or Victoria will have a basket of pumpkin-suitable yarns for you to treat yourself. Ditto stuffing! She can also lend hooks or needles if you don't have your own. The skill level is easy, you only need to be able to knit stitch and/or double crochet. Victoria will also bring some patterns.

Cost is £7.50 (payable to Cosy Cafe on the day, they've ever so kindly offering a bit of a saving here!) which will include a drink and cake of your choice. Do please let us know if you are coming, so that we make sure there's enough room saved for us!

A very happy Robert with a super Bruno bear 🐻 🥰

The pattern is one of our Stylecraft patterns; Bruno is knitted with leftovers from Robert's stash. We particularly love the sparkly eyes - you might just be able to make them out if you view large - which were embroidered in King Cole's Glitz.
