Wee painted and stitched rascals handed over yesterday. The gorgeous Hank and Hunter painted onto calico fabric using Inktense pencils and paints. Details added with free motion embroidery to give a sketchy outline effect

Another fantastic morning spent at Kilcooley & Ards North Down Womens Centre today. We were creating some pretty snowdrops and I think everyone did amazingly- can you spot a visitor within the group having a wee go ?

I always love how the tiniest bits of wool can bring a wee animal to life and add their wee character 💙💙🐾🐾
It’s all about taking your time, using the right amount of wool and felting it to the appropriate level; that’s what brings the realism

Last year my husband received a very serious health diagnosis and I made the decision to step back from doing events/markets, and my own workshops.
I have continued to do some work with the fabulous Kilcooley Women’s Centre and Gifted Bangor and working on a reduced amount of commissions from home.
I have had messages enquiring about the needle felting classes being run from the Blackbird; these are NOT my work. As of November 2025 I am no longer a supplier to the Blackbird.
I am looking to potentially offer some of my own workshops later in the year.

This is due to already having a LOT of commissions to work through and also my husbands ill health.
