I shared on stories that this kitchen had something unique about it....the main guesses being colour, the panels to the worktops, a hidden doorway but its actually the height of the worktops.
To allow for minimal disruption in the fabric of the building but for the worktop to run seamlessly into the windowsill we raised the height of the units across the kitchen including the height of the ovens - so that ergonomically the worktop wasn't higher or lower for ease.
We used standard sized doors where possible and a few bespoke door and drawer fronts where needed - mainly under the Belfast sink and under the ovens.
We ran the doors to the floor on the tall section too to hide the walk through hidden access to the pantry and to not have to add a piece of plinth to the back of the doors which for us is quite an unsightly and unnecessary addition when this is easily possible with the right design and product options.
An absolute joy to design - the client had a clear inspiration and vision and we got the pleasure of bringing it to life for them.
