I know I’ve been very silent for a while, had a bit of a busy time from late on last year until last month really. So I have done nothing crafty at all, as my heart and head had not been in it 😢

But I was asked back in January to make something….finally I found the time and inclination to actually start it….after some time, patience and a few head scrating moments I have taken it to its new home 😊 see what ya think?! 🤔

Started off as a rather large piece of brown plywood, which was sanded, corners rounded and screw holes drilled. Then it had several layers of under coat, next step was to draw on the lettering making sure everything was centred and looked correct. Next came a lot of blue paint and a steady hand, then came more blue, rust effect and the Ford lettering. I then had some touching up, added more rust effect and gold edging to the Ford lettering. I also lined the rest of the lettering in black to give it a cleaner finish. Next to the last step some burnt umber paint to make the rust look as real as possible, I also added it all around the edge of the plywood too. Then lastly lots and lots of clear satin varnish. I wanted to make it look like and old rusty metal sign, I think it’s worked out well, and I hope you think so too 😊

Recent wedding gift I was commissioned to do!

Harry Potter themed wedding invites were sent out, so I painstakingly copied/up scaled/added different details to the top of a wooden box to be used as a memory box.

As the Bride and Groom have now got it in there possession I am free to share it with you lovely lot, I hope you love it as much as they do 🧹🎓🪄✨🧙‍♂️🏰🦉🧙‍♀️
