Time for a comeback..So who am I? 👩🏻‍🎨💚

I’ve spent a lot of time away from lately

And with good reason as other things had to take priority

So I think it’s time to comeback with a little reintroduction

So who is Samantha? Well…she is the woman behind the art 👩🏻‍🎨

🟩 I am highly creative, it’s the biggest part of my identity (I dance, I act, I model, I draw & I paint)

They help me to process, express and feel joy

🟩 I am a lover of broccoli 🥦 got teddies, t-shirts and eat it practically everyday

🟩 I am a hiking girl 🥾 I feel most at peace on top of a mountain and you’ll usually find me on solo hikes

🟩 Horror films are my fave 🩸I just love that thrill of the jumps, a good killing and I’m really fascinated by the effects 😍

🟩 I love to get messy 🫟 I’ve had many photoshoots covered in fake blood, clay, rolling around in mud and paint (it’s all part of the fun)

So that’s a little about me, the woman behind the art 👩🏻‍🎨

The Workshop Today Gave Me More Than Just Knowledge…

Today I attended an incredible workshop led by the equally incredible 👏🏻

I’ve been limiting going to these events with everything that’s going on for me right now

BUT this one was a can’t miss and my gut was right 🫶🏻

Ollie definitely made sure I gained more knowledge with lots to takeaway

And I gained so much more…⬇️

🟩 I spoke to new people Ognizlata Yeletenko & Dominic starting out in their business journeys making connections

🟩 I dished out the compliment cards, showing appreciation to others

🟩 I caught up with my good friend who offered her support 🫶🏻

🟩 I saw an old school friend Becky that definitely need to catch up properly with

🟩 Had a really insightful chat with Ollie afterwards offering great tips and just a great friendly chat 🫶🏻

It just highlights the importance of these events not just to gain knowledge

But the power of people, the interactions and the endless support that’s available

And how you end up feeling leaving that room

Which for me is always empowered, valued and like I can achieve anything

So yes today gave me so much more than just knowledge

Community is everything 💚

Huge changes coming but not this…👩🏻‍🎨🫶🏻

There is some real big big changes coming my way and not out of choice

That is currently taking up a lot of my focus right now

But I’m choosing to see these shifts as a guide to help me on my journey

And the thing that’s not changing is…

The way I show up to help people, charities and volunteering for my local community…

Giving back and spreading joy is something I & will always do…

Because there is no better gift 💚

I Faced A Fear, Donated & Learnt This…

On Saturday I did an Abseil down Doncaster’s women and children’s hospital 🫶🏻

Doing an abseil when I’m scared of heights was always going to be scary

But doing that and raising money all for the amazing work DRI does really gave me that extra push 🥊

I mean there was no way I would back out 💪🏻

But as I was making my way down I did struggle

You see the further down I got, the further away my legs got from the building

And so having little legs didn’t help me here

I ended up dangling in the air and that moment was the most terrifying

I had to compose myself after my little squeal

And I had to work out how the hell I’m going to get down 🤷🏻‍♀️

I tried with both feet again, managed to slide down for a bit but that wasn’t working ❌

Then I tried using just one leg against the wall and that seemed to really work for me

And so what I really learnt here is even in the most terrifying moments…

I can find a solution, I can find my way 💚

I Nominated Myself But Why? 👩🏻‍🎨💚

That’s right I confidently nominated myself for the Weird AF Awards

But what award exactly?…⬇️

The Brave AF Award 💪🏻

So now let me tell you why…⬇️

It’s no secret that I started my business shortly after I was a victim of multiple rapes 💔

I was living in utter fear, it consumed my life

I feared people, I feared leaving my home and I was in fear for my life

But I was brave enough to start my business, my dream, my passion 👩🏻‍🎨💚

Even though I had THEE perfect excuse not to start

I was brave enough to show up and give it a go all while I was seeking justice with an active investigation 👏🏻

Where I joined the King’s Trust course, building a business plan and testing out products

I was brave enough to keep showing up, striving for growth and building my knowledge and skills despite the knockbacks with my investigation 👏🏻

Where the panel confirmed my business was viable and was now a supported business by the King’s Trust 🫶🏻

I was brave enough to try and learn to trust people especially men again 👏🏻

Where I joined the Launchpad gaining a male mentor who showed me some men are good and can be trusted

He became a real supporter, always championing my journey despite many overlooking my accompliments 🫶🏻

I am grateful for him, his encouragements, his guidance and leading the way to help me get comfortable around men especially in business 💚

Charity Abseil Time Reveal ⏱️🫶🏻

I’m taking part in the DRI charity abseil

To help raise money for all the amazing work

And it will also help me tackle a fear

It’s happening on Saturday 25th April

My time slot is 1:30pm

So if you want to come and show support

Get yourself to the Women and Children’s Hospital at DRI

You can film me screaming, crying and have a good laugh at me I don’t mind ☺️

Because it’s all for a worthy cause 💚
