The wood has a beautiful sheen to it. Not sure what it is. Possibly walnut.
Missing its hammer.

Beautiful P42 percussion musket. This one a volunteer example by Adams. The main arm of the British during the early part of the Crimean war. Very good quality musket. Has a stock repair that has been executed with extreme skill.
