My name is Glyn Elias

I am the Director of G.B.Elias Antiques Limited, trading as The Dorking Desk Shop and Elias Antiques of Dorking

The business was started in 1969 by my elder brother Jan, who began buying and restoring antique furniture in the garden shed of the family home. He went on to buy the workshops and showrooms in Dorking and the business has continued to develop since then. The Dor

king Desk Shop has been established for over 40 years in the historic market town of Dorking, where we are part of a community of antique shops specialising in all aspects of collecting antiques. In our showrooms, spread over 8,000 square feet, (2,400 sq metres) we offer an extensive selection of all types of writing furniture: from child's desks to executive partners desks, from bureaux to secretaires and we feel confident that we can supply or source any item you require. Having recently been accepted into the Guild of Master Craftsmen, I am now undertaking private restoration for clients and other companies. For example, I have recently completed the restoration and polishing of the pulpit, panelling and lychgate of the beautiful church, St Michaels, in Mickleham.
