🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ 7 YEARS OF DOVER PRIDE 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
My 5th year on the team, working side by side with my best friends and marching with my baby meant that this year was my favourite yet 💕
Having Huxley up front in the march with me and seeing her have the BEST time being her true self in her pirate costume is all I could ever ask for. That is a core memory for me ❤️
This year has been the most difficult yet for planning, with the rise of the right wing and Dover being heavily Reform leaning meant that it’s felt even more political and unsafe to be part of a minority, vulnerable community. It affected our funding, our sponsors and how we promoted our event - our posters were torn down and we were the target of homophobic abuse online.
Seeing so many people turn out on Saturday to march and protest was everything we could ask for. 👏
Thank you to my beautiful team mates and to our community for showing up year after year 🌟💕 my heart is full.
