If this style is what you’re looking for in your wedding flowers, I’ve got you - this is what you need to be asking your florist for:

🌷 Flower heavy
🌷 Colour Blocking, Variety blocking
🌷 Sculptural
🌷 larger headed blooms

Some flowers that suit this style well that you might want to mention are: Amaranths, Anthurium, hydrangea, Calla Lilies, reflex roses, orchids.

WATCHOUT: This style tends to use very little greenery and more premium/pricey stems to achieve the look, so it will be more expensive than a more garden inspired look if you’re comparing the same item like a bud vase - but because the designs are very bold and impactful you don’t always need as many, focus on your high visual impact areas!

“Thank you so much for making my Pinterest boards a real life vision!” — the kind of message that never gets old!

Working with couples like this is exactly why I do what I do. From our very first conversation, everything felt so aligned, thoughtful, intentional, and full of trust.

We created florals that didn’t just look beautiful, but felt meaningful and intentional in the space… every colour tying seamlessly into the stationery designed by the bride herself, the signage, the atmosphere of the day. The kind of details you notice up close, and feel without even realising.

From delicate bud vases and colour-matched candles, to ceremony flowers thoughtfully reworked onto the top table, and the star of the show (THE CAKE) — every element designed to feel considered, cohesive, and never wasteful.

If you’re dreaming of florals that feel like you — dramatic, characterful, and designed with meaning — you’re in the right place.

Controversial wedding opinion:
“Styled shoot” shouldn’t be a dirty word.

And I’m not going to apologise for sharing them — or dress them up as something they’re not.

Recently, I’ve seen a lot of conversation around styled shoots being “fake” or setting unrealistic expectations.
Here’s where I stand.

When I take part in a styled shoot, I’m not trying to replicate a wedding day.
I’m creating a floral concept I’m genuinely excited about — something that reflects my own style and artistic choices.

Whilst I’m often lucky to receive beautiful imagery from weddings, that content is never a given. The photographer is there for the couple (as they should be), which means the details I’d love captured don’t always make the shot list — and that’s completely okay.

Styled shoots give me the opportunity to create work I can share, photographed in the way I need for me to market my business.

They also give us room to test ideas we’ve never tried before.
To explore techniques before they’re used in a real wedding — because your wedding day isn’t the place for experimentation.

They’re a chance to collaborate with other suppliers, to design more instinctively, and to make creative decisions in real time — not just in response to a problem, but as part of the process.

And not everything works.

The lamps in the first two images, for example — we thought they’d add something, but they felt too structured against the movement of the meadow, so we took them out.

Some things don’t land, some things surprise us, but that’s kind of the point and it informs the advice we give you about your day.

Yes, the work we create in these settings is sometimes more expensive. That doesn’t make it unrealistic — Part of my role is translating that (or any inspo) into something that works for your day and your budget.
Being transparent about what’s achievable, where to invest, and how to prioritise so you still get that same feeling you fell in love with.

Spring and summer weddings are just around the corner… even if today feels like a grey February day.

• The first official day of spring is only 8 days away
• Between now and June we’ll gain almost 5 extra hours of daylight
• In just a couple of months peonies, sweet peas and garden roses will be everywhere
• Garden roses actually smell stronger in warm evening air — paired with candlelight they make the most atmospheric tablescapes

So while today might be rain, wind and clouds, summer flowers, candlelit evenings and garden celebrations are quietly getting closer…

I’d be a liar if I told you I didn’t eat into my profit on most weddings because I’m like a kid in a candy store at the flower market.

But I wouldn’t have it any other way!
