Bank Holiday weekends aren’t always about putting your feet up. Sometimes they’re the best opportunity to get the flooring done.

This recent project in Abingdon involved approximately 180m² of mezzanine flooring within a busy storage facility.

The works were deliberately scheduled over the Bank Holiday weekend, making use of the quieter period to help minimise disruption to the client's operations.

The completed floor provides a practical, hard wearing finish suitable for the mezzanine's day to day use as additional storage space.

Planning flooring works around weekends, shutdowns and quieter operational periods can make a big difference when keeping a facility running is a priority.

From a heavily damaged tiled floor to a seamless automotive workshop finish.

At this workshop in Mansfield, the existing tiles needed to be removed back to the concrete substrate before the new resin flooring system could be installed.

Works included:

• Mechanically removing the remaining tile adhesive
• Priming and levelling the prepared floor
• Installing a 2mm Light Grey Monargrip system
• Adding white vehicle bays using Monarcoat 700
• Installing yellow hazard chevrons around the testing pit and ramps

The project was completed in two phases, allowing the workshop to remain operational while the flooring works progressed.

The finished installation provides a seamless, brighter and clearly organised surface designed around the daily requirements of the workshop.

Mezzanine flooring doesn’t necessarily need the same resin system as the factory floor below.

Mezzanine floors are a practical way of creating additional usable space within industrial facilities, but the flooring requirements can differ depending on how that space is used.

This recent project in Derby involved approximately 140m² of factory mezzanine flooring, finished using three coats of our Monarseal 322 system in Light Grey.

A recent resin flooring installation completed within a museum event space in Sheffield, covering approximately 650m².

The space is used for a range of public and private events, including weddings, exhibitions and classic car shows, so the flooring needed to provide a clean, practical and professional finish suitable for varied use.

The project utilised Vebro EP WB, applied as a three coat build up to create a consistent grey finish across the full area.

Sometimes it’s the details you only notice up close that make the biggest difference.

This 140m² resin flooring installation at a museum facility in Cambridge involved a full system build up using Remmers products.

Following diamond grinding, the floor received two coats of Remmers MT 100 moisture tolerant primer, followed by Remmers Epoxy PH and a PUR Colour Top M 2K matt topcoat in RAL 7035 with a non slip additive.

The close up image shows the subtle texture within the finished surface, helping to provide additional underfoot grip while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

Existing movement joints were also recut and sealed using colour matched Monarjoint to complete the installation.

Standing water, regular washdowns and daily vehicle traffic all put a floor to the test.

This recent 75m² vehicle wash bay installation in Oldbury used our 6mm Monarthane polyurethane resin flooring system to provide a durable, seamless finish designed for demanding washdown environments.

Vehicle wash bays are exposed to water, cleaning chemicals and constant vehicle movement, making the choice of flooring system particularly important. Polyurethane systems such as Monarthane offer excellent resistance to many of the chemicals commonly found in these environments while also providing a durable, easy to maintain surface.
