This week (28th May) is our last week of this stitching year. Some of us will be going on a trip to Farfield Mill, but for those not going, Diane and Linda will be opening Heathhall Community Centre for stitchers between 10am and 1pm.

Thanks to all who have supported us this year. Here's a brief look at the variety of works in progress/just finished from 14th May.

Wishing everyone a lovely summer, we'll be back at Heathhall on Thursday 3rd September.

On 28th May, we will be going on a trip to Farfield Mill, Sedbergh. Our coach leaves Brooms Road car park Dumfries at 8.15am, returning at approximately 5pm. The cost of £25 includes tea/coffee and a traybake on arrival, but does NOT include lunch. There are still places available, if you would like to come please message us.

For our April workshop we spent a messy day with Anne Brooke Textile Artist , creating Abstract Painted Hoops. Several of us were way out of our comfort zone, but Anne put us at ease and we were amazed by the different hoops we managed to produce from the same prompt. Of course that's just the start! The challenge now is to do the stitching.

In March, we relaxed with Lindsay Roberts, the Border Tart, with her workshop entitled 'Mindful Mandalas and Slow Squares.

For our February workshop, Stephanie Lightbown came to demonstrate Japanese bookbinding. Ladies who attended really enjoyed the workshop and they produced some beautiful books.
