“The Lord is my strength and song.” — Exodus 15:2
This verse has become a meaningful reminder to me of where my strength comes from. Through the everyday struggles, the difficult days and the moments when I simply need to keep going, I find comfort in knowing that God is with me.
And He is my song — a source of joy, peace and the reassurance of knowing I am loved by Him. So whatever we are facing, we don’t have to face it alone.

This cushion is part of my Bible Verse Collection, created from my original artwork and made into meaningful pieces for the home.
If you’d like to know more about this cushion or how to purchase, just send me a DM.

From original artwork to something you can actually hang on your wall.
These two little characters are Piggy Wiggy and Ewe Are Funny — two of the animal designs from my collection. I start with reclaimed wood, make and prepare the wooden board, and paint the original artwork by hand using acrylics. Then I take the artwork and turn it into the finished sign — adding the little captions before transferring the design onto the white wood. So although the finished pieces are printed, each one starts with an original piece of artwork painted by me. I love seeing how an idea on a piece of reclaimed wood can eventually become something completely different — and hopefully bring a little smile too.
If you'd like to know more about the animal collection or what's available, just DM me — I'm always happy to chat.

A little bit of wild for the winter!
Remember that animal print fleece I unboxed the other day?
Well, it’s no longer a secret! I’ve paired it with the turquoise cuddle fleece to create a cosy hat, neck warmer and fingerless gloves set.
A little different from my usual designs, but sometimes it’s fun to try something new!
Now I’m curious… are you a fan of animal print, or do you prefer something a little more traditional?

A little delivery day excitement at Renu Studio!
There’s nothing quite like a big box of new fabrics arriving at the studio!
I’ve been really struggling to finding the colours I need for my cosy winter cuddle fleece collection locally, so I’ve had to go over the water to source just what I was looking for.
And of course, I couldn’t forget some much-needed velvet for my Bible Verse cushions!
But… I couldn’t resist adding something a little different to the order too! This animal print fleece caught my eye, and I just had to have it!
Now, what will I make with it? I’m keeping that a little secret for now… but I have a few ideas brewing! What do you think? Have you any guesses?

As we head into autumn and winter, things are starting to change a little in the Renu studio.
It's that time of year for making, creating and preparing for the season ahead — and I've been thinking about what I want to concentrate on over the coming months. So, I thought I'd reintroduce you to three of the ranges you'll be seeing more of around here:
the Bible Verse collection ( sorry could have come up with a more original name but there it is ) artwork inspired by faith, nature and scripture, created as meaningful pieces for the home and thoughtful gifts.

The Rustic collection ( again excuse the name , I really need to sort that out) ranges of
humorous animals,
dogs and
North Coast artwork
— a mixture of things to make you smile and pieces inspired by the places you love.

Then if course not forgetting my Cosy Winter cuddle fleece hats, neck warmers and gloves/wrist warmers — made for keeping cosy through the colder months, with some new colours and designs joining the range this year.

And while I have a few new ideas and paintings still developing in the background, these are the three areas I'll be concentrating on for the season ahead.
So, over the next few weeks I'll be taking you behind the scenes, sharing some of the artwork, making, stories and finished pieces from each range. There's lots to make!

"He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth." Psalm 104:14 God provides for us in so many ways, often through the ordinary things we see around us every day. The grass growing in the fields, the food on our tables, and the beauty of the world He has created. It's easy to overlook these everyday blessings, but this verse reminds me to pause and give thanks for them.

I've been working on this new watercolour painting, and this time I've been thinking about God's provision for us. I started painting these cows in a field and I was thinking- simple things we sometimes take for granted, The grass growing in the fields, the food we eat, and the beauty of the world around us.It makes me think of Psalm 104:14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

Another wee painting.

I love painting these peaceful countryside scenes, adding the little details and watching the picture come together.

For this one, I've been thinking about God's provision and the many things we receive from His creation that we can sometimes overlook.

The grass in the fields, the animals, and the food.

It reminded me of this verse:

"He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth."

Psalm 104:14

A simple reminder to pause, give thanks, and appreciate the blessings that surround us.

A closer look at this little sheep painting.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:27

There's something so comforting about the thought of being known by God.
Not just being one of many, but being known personally by Him.
And the reminder that we can listen for His voice and follow where He leads, even when we don't know exactly what lies ahead.
I hope this little piece of artwork brings encouragement.

Sometimes a painting takes you in a slightly different direction from the one you first imagined.
When I started painting these little sheep, I was thinking of Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
But as the painting came together, I began to feel another verse was a better fit.
The happy little sheep got me thinking about John 10:27:
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
I love the reminder that God knows us personally, that we belong to Him, and that we can follow His voice.

So this little painting has found its verse.
