It's ALMOST that time of year again: Haymaking...
This winter has been particularly hard for many to find a supply of good quality hay fodder; we had enquiries from as far afield as Kent!
The shortage was caused by the particularly long, dry spell we experience when the grass should have grown last Spring, and it didn't. By the time the rains arrived it was too late.
On average, we obtained a yield of only 30%, compared with previous years...
We will be cutting again this year, assuming the cramp in my fingers, from keeping them crossed hoping for the right kind of growing weather this year, is not too bad!
