ualified Interior Designer and have been obsessed with fashion and interior design from a very young age. I am inspired by beautiful interiors, nature, colours, textures, art, history, and lighting. I have a passion for helping my clients to create beautiful, practical, and comfortable living spaces. I have experience working in a high-end interior design studio, giving me a wealth of knowledge of fabrics, wallpapers, paints, furnishings, window and floor treatments. I have also worked in the fashion retail industry for over 30 years, working my way up to Store Manager and Visual Merchandising Manager, where I re-imagined, redesigned, and created fabulous displays for both clothing and home-wares. Within this time I have also worked as a space and layout planner for a major British retailer. My enthusiasm for fashion and interiors has been influenced by my mum. My mum was a seamstress and curtain maker. She nurtured my love and passion by helping me to make clothing from sketches I had drawn or making bedroom curtains out of bargain fabric that I had picked out. I am a very versatile designer never wanting to be hemmed into one style.
I love the juxtaposition of clashing traditional with contemporary. I adore character features such as original fireplaces, ceiling roses and chandeliers, and the bold colours of the Victorian era, and try to restore as many of the period features as possible. I also love to create clean, pared-back Scandi and Japandi interiors that add a touch of nature at a time when the environment really matters.
