New project alert 🚨
My nieces have put in a request…. Who am I to refuse?!
It’s about time I made something special for them ♥️
They both love anything that resembles rainbows 🌈 I’ve chosen pastel shades. Of course it needs to be snuggly too!
Yarn- Sirdar Snuggly Pattercake. This yarn feels amazing 🤩
I can’t wait to get started. Off to the drawing board I head to choose a pattern 📝

Hot off the hook 🧶
I totally love how this has tuned out. The yarn, colours and stitch combo is mind blowing!
This feels so soft and snuggly 🥰
I will definitely be using this yarn and the Suzette Stitch again with a new batch of colours.
This would be perfect for a baby blanket.

Wow!
This Suzette Stitch is looking so pretty.
A perfect combination of the right yarn and stitch can really make a project look fabulous. I’m really pleased with this and I will definitely be using this combo again.
It’s works up pretty quickly too and doesn’t need your 100% attention whilst crocheting.

My first proper project….. My first blanket 🧶

I have an obsession for blankets I don’t even want to say how many I have, because it’s still not enough 🙈 Now that I have discovered this new world of crocheting, it’s a dream come true, to have even more blankets that I can make myself!

After looking through various different options, I decided on these colours in Paintbox Baby DK. This yarn feels amazing, so soft and snuggly….. perfect for me! My choice of stitch is the Suzette Stitch.

How the journey began-
March 2020 😷
The Face Mask Adapter Story……
I worked in the Health & Social Care sector. It was the start of the Pandemic in the UK. I was one amongst many who worked on the front line during the hardest thing I’ve had to witness so far in my lifetime!
It was compulsory to wear face masks. My face was masked up for 12 hours of the day, causing irritation to the skin around my ears. Failing to find someone who could knit or crochet me a face mask adapter, I had to take matters into my own hands with the advice of my Mum. Just like that she comes out with “Just go on You Tube I’m sure you will find a video on there to make one yourself….. you can do….. I know you can!”
Of course Mum’s are always right!

I came across who had a video tutorial for what I was looking for. Little did I know then that I would fall in love with crocheting.
I made my face mask adapter and then another 10 more for the rest of my team.

It left me fascinated, to see what can become from a ball of yarn and a crochet hook! My Mum saw how amazed I was. Sitting with her one night she said to me “You’ve got the hang of it now, you could make anything, and you should”.
And so I did…..
I followed a few beginner video tutorials to learn the basics and just like that I was on my way……

I never thought I was creative or crafty, but I definitely found something here and I have since continued to fall in love with crocheting 🧶

Welcome to my little world of crochet
